| Message | Dear Bryce.... In 1978 I was a premed student just like you...disowned by my parents and forced out of going to med school because i was a homosexual. It ruined my professional life. Don't let that happen to you. When you get free and can think on your own... seek out your friends who love and support you as you are. Get student loans so you are not dependent on your parents and go to school be the doctor you are meant to be. There are a lot of people who love and support you as the Gay man you are! Especially Travis! Love yourself! Get assistance from a REAL Gay affirmative therapist when you get out to deal with the PTSD this "reparative therapy" quackery and rejection by your family will no doubt have caused you. Don't accept the hate and homophobia of your fundamentalist parents. That's their life...it doesnt have to be yours. Hang in there! We're thinking of you!  |
