| Message | My Dearest Bryce, Yesterday was not only the day of the National Equality March but it was also National Coming Out Day, a day created for people that are closeted LGBT people to know that they no longer have be ashamed of who they are and how they were born. I know right now you are in a place that you are being told that you should be ashamed of who you are and that G-d made a mistake, but I know you are strong enough to do what you need to do to appease your family and come out stronger than ever. | Message | I can understand a 23 year old have a problem cutting off ties and being reliant on their family, or other such things. Or coercion. What I can't understand is how a family, who consists of people who are supposed to love and accept you, instead says you need therapy for something that is clearly not a choice, nor is a mental disorder. | Message | Travis & Bryce, Even though I have not put in an entry lately doesn't mean you have left my thoughts. I wish this wasn't still going and hope that the two of you will be together soon. Even this past weekend my 14 year old daughter asked for an update and got tears in her eyes when I told her that Bryce is still not home. From her she asked me to tell you both that everything happens to make us stronger in our beliefs and that she will keep passing the message since she has family and friends in Alabama to see if they can find out anything. For me I wish you the best and that everything works out for the two of you. |
