| Message | Darren, First off let me congratulate you on yet another masterpiece. "The Wrestler" was perfect, and satisfied my need for another film by YOU. Anyways, i will try to refrain from kissing your ass, and just ask that you make your short films available somehow. I would love to see your early work. So if there is anyway you could put that online or whatever that would be awesome. Your work truly inspires me as an artist. Okay, so i wish you all the best, and thanks for making some of the best movies EVER. Cheers. |

| Message | Have long been an admirer of Mickey Rourke, as i admire his courage and truth (Angel Heart especially). In "The Wrestler" Marisa Tomei achieves a beauty in performance which matches Rourke's for honesty and committment. Thank you for your courage sir, I have read your bio and recognize what a struggle it has been to get to make the films you make. And to make them so well. I am insisting my acting students see all of your work. Morgan Sheppard. |

| Message | I watched Fountain on DVD when it was a new release. Looking back I feel I was not in the right frame of mind that night to watch such an involved and creative film. I was probably more in the mood for some mindless Hollywood dribble to take my mind off of the days events. I was certainly not prepared for such an intellectual and spiritually creative masterpiece that I would say stands up to, if not out shines Kubriks "Space Odyssey". I have to thank Robin Quivers and her negative comments of the film during your recent interview on Howard to motivate me to give the film a second chance. I was thoroughly entertained and left pondering all of life's mysteries which I am guessing would be what you were striving for. I know that you overcame many obstacles to have this movie made and hope that you were happy with the finished result. There are enough writers and directors in Hollywood creating dribble for the masses and I wanted to tell that that there is still a large community of people out here that are always waiting for films like "Fountain". I look forward to seeing "The Wrestler" and thank you for bringing Mickey back. Here's my plug. I am a good looking thirty nine year old ex boxer. I chased the acting dream early in my life but am afraid to say I gave it up for fear of poverty. Like all actors I think I have talent...but I REAllY DO! If you're looking for someone like that e-mail me. If not I'll just keep selling steel. Thanks |

| Message | "The Wrestler" is a near perfect movie. The amount of detail is staggering. It's all I've thought about for days. I've been recommending it to friends across the country, but all to often it isn't playing in their area. I can't wait for a wider release. |

| Message | Darren, Congratulations on the new movie... can't wait to see it. I'm happy for Mickey -- he had this one coming. I appreciate you seeing beyond the surface and helping him release his potential. I had the chance to support Mickey in his fitness quest in the 90's and know he's a unique individual when it comes to staying strong and fit. What he was able to do (with some assistance I believe my my friend Mike Ryan) is truly a testament to his tenacity. I can't wait to see this... I think it's going to make Rocky look like a decent movie... and the boost to Rourke's career will be ala Pulp Fiction for Travolta. In Strength, Shawn |

| Message | Hey Darren, I'm a writer for Harley Race and his promotion World League Wrestling. We met last year at the Ring of Honor show in Manhattan. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to do a short interview with Mickey Rourke for our website. I appreciate your time. Thank you, Joe Timlin |
