| Message | I've only recently seen The Fountain for the first time and have subsequently become obsessed. This has to be one of the most moving, yet underrated movies of all time. It has crawled right under my skin maybe because of the life/death/love/abandonment issues plus our modern passion for youth and longevity. Dunno but kudos. Beautiful cinematography and insight. Grazie, and thanks also for recording director's commentary which i am still trying to find online. this is certainly a movie that would be enriched by having the director himself narrate some of the experience. ciao. |

| Message | Hello!!I'm Javier Pereira, a professional actor from Spain ,you can see my work in my agent's website. I'm writing to you via your blog because, for the past six months, I've tried without luck to get in touch with the person or company that owns the rights to the script of the movie Requiem for a Dream in order to obtain permission to adapt the movie script into a stage play in Spain. I am an absolute fan of your movie -as I'm sure anyone who's seen it is- and I believe it has great potential to be represented on stage. In addition, I feel a personal connection to the movie's plot, for I lived and suffered the consequences of an addiction in a loved one, which is why I feel deeply motivated to carry on this project. In fact, if I can get the necessary permission to take the movie to a Spanish theater, I would not be directing the play, but would rather like to play the role of the son ,Jared Leto. Besides acting in it, I would make sure it got the best production level in Spain. I would greatly appreciate if you could help me or let me know who I should contact in order to obtain the rights of the script or, if this is impossible, to get it out of my mind once and for all. I hope this project can come true one day so that Spanish people can get acquainted with this cruel and real story! Thanks in advance, Javier. |

I am also friends of Bruce and Diamond Dallas Page who are both from the area and want to tell you how proud and grateful I am that you shot in our town.
