MessageMy Uncle James Wesley Reach served on the Randolph from 1961 until 1967 as "the man in charge of the mess" ( Don't know his rank, etc.)

Does anyone remember him? If so would you be willing to write "well wishes" to him for the article I am writing about his life for our family newsletter? Thank you in advance for your response. Linda Reach Moore

MessageI am seeking any information on a Lt. Harold "Dave" Hall, who I was told was a pilot on the USS Randolph sometime during 1947-1952 (?).
I'm not sure of the dates. Does anyone have any information on my brother and when he was on this ship? Since I was born after he was in the Navy, I never knew him. I would appreciate any info.
Thanks.

MessageI was in HS-7 in 1960-61, the helicopter anti-submarine squadron based at Norfolk NAS and deployed on the USS Randolph. It was my good fortune to be aboard when choppers from the Randolph plucked both Gus Grissom and John Glenn from the Atlantic. During my time aboard we also visited Gitmo. I went to VR-24 at Port Lyautey in Morocco before the Randolph did her Med cruise. Would like to hear from some of my old squadron mates if any see this post.
