MessageTo: Tony Bonoso I was a reserve on active duty RD3 in OI division on USS Randolph from March 59 through Dec. 60. As I recall your dad was some what short and muscular with a winning smile and laughed a lot. He commanded a lot of respect and was a good leader. I recall that he recieved a Meritorous Mass with captin for exceptional leadership. Sorry to hear about your loss. Best regards to you.

MessageMy father,EMC Lamar W. Bivins, served his last 7 months on the USS Randolph and then retired in June of 1961. I can remember his last cruise when I ran across to meet him as he came off the ship. To this day my mother can't figure out how I knew which one was my Dad.I just did. Dad was always proud of his time on the Randoo Can Do.I am so proud of father and all he did.Thank You for this sight.
