| Message | My Father, William Oscar Widerstrom was in the navy from 1931 - 1958. He was on the USS Randolph. If there are any fellow shipmates or friends remaining that would share information with me it would be greatly appreciated. His nickname was Chips (I am told that when he joined the navy, he literally chipped paint off the side of ships for repainting, he later retired CWO.) My dad died in 1970. I didn't know him well. |

| Message | My father, Eugene Brone, was on the USS Randolph probably sometime in the late 1930's or maybe early 40's. He passed away in 1963 at the age of 43 when I was only 7 years old. I am trying to find anyone that may have served with him. The only thing I know is that he was a cook. I would love to be able to talk to anyone that may have known him. |

| Message | I SERVED ON THE RANDOLPH FROM SEPT.61 TO SEPT.63. THE COLLISION AT SEA IN OCT.61 WAS MY FIRST CRUISE. I WAS ALSO ONE OF THE MEN SENT TO FIGHT THE FIRE, MUST BE BEGINNERS "LUCK". I REALLY ENJOYED THE 2 YEARS ON BOARD. IT WAS PROBABLY THE MOST EYE OPENING EXPERIENCE I HAD UP TO THAT TIME. LOVED BEING AT SEA. I FELT LIKE I WAS ON TOP OF THE WORLD LOOKING OUT.WE PICKED UP GUS GRISSOM ON HIS RETURN FROM SPACE. AND THE RANDOLPH WAS IN THE "CUBIN MISSLE CRISES" BLOCKADE OFF CUBA. PRETTY EXCITING 2 YEARS. |

| Message | Was stationed onboard from 1966 to Decommmissioning, Avionics Division. Had a great time, met a lot of people from the squadrons, was on the C1A crew for a while. Would like too hear from anyone out there. Now living in Bullhead City, AZ. |
