| Message | In reference to the posting on 6-15,are you talking about Dorato, a short, stocky guy from New Jersey, who owned a baby blue Mustang? Did Clemons work in Personnel Office? Don Buchanan, Jim Kane and I (Gary Embert) used to ride back and forth on week ends. I thought Rick Dorato started in the Legal Office under a PO2 Houck. I was in Personnel Office then E & T Office under Ltjg Kelleher, Chief McKay, both from Jersey, PN2 Essel who is in Conn. I left in 67. If you in touch with Dorato, ask him about the time we were going home on the week end, with the ship's light in the trunk! Later, [email protected] |

| Message | Served aboard Randolph V-3 Div 62-66. Aboard night we lost #3 elevator, five men over the side, never recovered AN Hill from V-3 and tractor driver from V-1. Great ship and in retrospect, best years of my life. Enjoy yearly ship reunions and have reconnected with six shipmates from V-3 and made great new friends from other Divisions. Would love to hear from other shipmates. Can contact me at [email protected]. Wish I could do it all again. |
