MessageMy dad was on the USS Randolph (62-65) V1 division; tracker driver. He is alive and well and living in Arkansas. Would love to make contact with his shipmates in V1. MessageI shipped on the randy in 53 just in time for it's first med cruise after re-commissoning Great cruise I remember A Lt Miller he was a gunnery officer. I also took the ship thru Hurricane Edna. The cap't at the time was Cpt Robert Lee who took command from Quakenbush in Naples during the cruise. Lots of great times and an EXCELLENT XO Gillett I have some of his plan of the day sheets still Would love to hear from other fox guys [email protected]

MessageI was on the Randolph the day it was commissioned October 9, 1944 until October 21,1945 . It was a great ship.I operated the crane that picked up aircraft that crashed on landing.Would like to hear from any one who was aboard in that time frame in [V!D] Department
