MessageProudly served from 1962 to 1964. PH3 in VS-26 but was always sent to the ship's photo lab, OP Div, to work. I just found this site and will be sending photos. Worked aboard ship with Melvin Perry, Bob Sharp and all the other photomates. Best Wishes!

MessageMy father, [then] Cmdr. Seldon Dunn, MC, was Senior Medical Officer on the Randolph from summer 1961 to summer 1963. I have uploaded a photo of the medical team debriefing [then] Major John Glenn, Jr. after his orbital flight on 20 Feb. 1962 on Wikipedia --

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Randolph_(CV-15)

My father's quarters was one of the compartments which was heavily damaged by the collision later in the year, though luckily for him, he was not in the compartment at that time.

He had earlier been on a sister ship, the USS Boxer, and later was again Senior Medical Officer on the Kittyhawk. But I thi8nk he considered the Randolph his favourite, especially during the Med cruise in the summer of 1962.
