| Message | For me the biggest factor in the extra roster spot is change. In a franchise pool we're all thinking longer term than 1 year, any time you bring in change of any kind it benefits some teams more than others. What stage of competing/rebuilding the team is in, the nature and scale of the change are all factors in deciding who is affected mostly for positive or negative and by how much. I don't think there's any argument that if we were starting fresh with a pool this year, the roster could be set at 32 or 27 with no difference to any GM... but now that we have a franchise pool in place, with a history and development... the changes must be weighted much more in favour of the positives to be brought in. In my opinion this change has too big of an impact to be brought in for the sake of the development argument... so I vote no. ex. When I came in as an expansion team, the Dukes and the Terror were hit much harder than any other team (even though the Blazers were mid dynasty) because of their current age and depth levels. |

| Message | IN response to Commissioner Brown's comments that "the seven man farm has been viable for all ten years of the FHL". That roster size has been around for ten years but that doesn't mean it's viable. I'm not married to the idea but I don't understand why this is any more puzzling of a suggestion than adding a fourth round...or any of the other modifications we made. I believe adding a roster spot rewards patience. Sure, we could say GM's have to make do with the space we have...we could also say GM's should make do with three rounds instead of four. This in no way waters down the talent anymore than an extra round of drafting does - what it DOES do, however, is reward selections that take longer to pan out. Not specifically prospects (though it's true, prospects could be tucked away there) but it allows a player to be injured for an entire season and not be dropped...or a player to have a couple of off-seasons, and then return to form. |

| Message | Wow - I heard rumblings that the Goons were having a fire sale, now I know he's selling at bargain basement prices too. I have also heard GM Derksen has been chomping at the bit to get deals done - one wonders what his motive is for making such rash moves. Its only July - FHL re-draft is in app. 80 + days? Maybe he figures he's got to make deals before the mags come out - and folks like McKeens and Dobber steal his thunder and Turris's value sky rockets! |

| Message | Commish Brown is dead right about adding another roster spot. I felt the same way about adding the 4th round. |
