MessageThis is beating a dead horse now, but in my defense I gave Goon my number with the comment "give me a call as that is way faster to get a deal done". A couple of times Goon indicated he might call but to be fair was busy with relatives, etc.. I didn't ask for Goon's number so I guess you are right.

Messageto quote Matthew Berry of ESPN, in support of C-Doggs theory and Brown's suggestion..

"When it comes to trades, call the guy. We didn't have e-mail for the first 15 years or so of the league, which meant when we wanted to trade we had to call. So many times in other leagues, I get a trade offer through the host Web site with no explanation. And it's always terrible. So I reject and I suspect most others do, as well. You have a much better chance of getting a deal done on the phone where you can explain what you need, see what the other owner is looking for and negotiate. E-mail is an imperfect form of communication on many levels, including for fantasy trades."

Messagethe dukes were very for real, looking to add a new perspective to the front office. no one has come forward so that opportunity will be withdrawn very shortly.

MessageO.k. - first - who compromised our FHL guest book by giving it out to an uninvited party?

It is clear that the FHL at this point is not open to expansion. By my count only 1 GM is even open to it. End of discussion.

Duke - are you for real?

MessageI like the "silver tongue" quotes. I believe it was used in the right context.

MessageI think the mistake all FHL teams are making is they are deciding what's best for their teams instead of allowing GM Dogg to decide what's best for their teams.
It appears that we all have a lot to learn.

MessageHaha, never been called "silver tongued" before. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

MessageI'm pretty tempted to post my offer to Goon right here on the banter board. I've been looking at this for 15 minutes I still can't believe Goon went for Cam's deal over mine. Guess it all depends on how much you value certain prospects. In my eyes my deal was significantly better. Who wants to see it? smilie

My theory is this: 1) Goon is an incredibly stingy GM when dealing via email. It's very difficult to get something done. If you get a new offer in your inbox from Goon you can guarantee it to be crazy. 2) Goon must be really easy to sway when dealing via the phone. This is the only thing that makes sense to me since Goon talks on the phone lots with the Terror and the Farmhands, and these last few deals have looked pretty bad

P.S. All in good fun boys. I'm using nicknames here for a reason. But I am ticked and hence my rants smilie

MessageWow. I don't even know where to begin with Goon. From my seat, it sure is frustrating to have talks for 3 weeks and get close on a deal and then have Goon go dark for a week and not make promised responses, then find out that I've been hoodwinked in an email from another GM. Low class Goon, low class. A little hint, when you have multiple GMs after the exact same players, you have what is called a bidding war. The dumbest thing you can do is put one bidder in the dark and listen only to one silver-tongued GM (yes, I mean you Cam smilie )

Time to award Goon the Mike Milbury Rebuilding Award.
