| Message | Are prospects exempt from the 12 man protection list? They have always been considered outside of the 27 man roster. |

| Message | goon if it were 2003 i would agree with you. i would say that such a GM is going to be hard to find. if i do recall correctly, your first franchise hit the reset button and improved coming out of the second expansion draft. i'm in favour of the expansion and protection proposal. i'm assuming a yes from Jono, will advise. |

| Message | Addendum to the Expansion motion - -the hybrid/expansion franchise would take over the other assets from the Inferno - including the inferno's upcoming picks, prospect pick and the asset of the inferno's one prospect pick (Barkov). |

| Message | FHL "Renovation 2014" Proposal (a 1 time only dispersal/protection list draft). 1. GMs must provide a 12 man protection date TBA. a.Trade freeze in effect for current roster players until September 1, 2014. b.All unprotected players are immediately released. c.Phil’s players are immediately released. 2.Each GM is awarded 14 extra picks in the 2014/15 redraft to go along with the three original picks for a total of 17 picks. a. Reverse finish order as per normal. b. Trading of picks allowed. More picks have been awarded than roster spots to fill in order to facilitate trading: ie. moving up and down in the order and making 2 or 3 for 1’s available. c. Prior year traded picks retain status – with the exception of the 2014 draft. All traded picks will be bumped back 3 rounds. (i.e. the Terror’s 1st round picked swapped with the Express would become a 4th round pick). d. Roster must have 27 players immediately after conclusion of draft. e. Any unused picks for the current year draft are forfeited. 3. 10 round redraft + 1 round prospect draft to take place 1-2 weeks before the start of the regular season (at Rob’s house). a.Assuming 4 hour draft = 280 minutes, 12 rounds x 7 teams = 84 picks, 240 minutes / 84 picks = approx. 3 minutes per pick. b. Two 3 minutes time extensions available for indecision or trade talk. 4.Remaining rounds of redraft to be held online during the 1-2 week period before the start of the regular season. |

| Message | RE: optics of not allowing the new GM take over the Phillies franchise. 1. Phillies resigned first. 2. With his assets it was felt that it would be best for the league to move to a 7 team league - and create much needed parity with a dispersal of his assets. Scott resigned for much different reasons - he was pleased with our "reno" proposal (which I communicated with him), but found life was too busy for him to sink time into such a big "reno." Had this been a different season for Scott, he very well may have stayed as an acting GM in the FHL. |

| Message | How about FHL GMs vote on this (and Jono of course) expansion proposal that would take place prior the "renovation" dispersal draft/protection list. MOTION - after FHL GMs have protected 12 players (by August ____?) the new GM expansion franchise would choose 2 players from each of the remaining 6 FHL clubs. The club would then enter the "reno" draft with 12 protected players (same as all other GMs). Please vote for this motion FHL GMs(Jono may not accept that anyways-then look for newGM) |

| Message | Hey fellas -we've got to move quite quickly here 1. Contrary to GM Derksen, it sounds like most FHL GMs want the league to be 7 (Duke, Terror, Blazer, and Wiebe) and are good with this proposed GM Jono. 2. Because we've got a bit of time line issue here, we can't really negotiate at length. It is good that this GM wants more of a level playing field (i.e. Scott's was given a franchise driven into the ground - not an expansion team). However, this season is a good season for a new GM to jump in due to the massive renovation that is happening, with significant assets opening up. {My next post will have the long awaited dispersal draft/1 time protection list format for this season only.} While it would be nice for a new GM to be competitive immediately - other teams in the basement might find it hard to accept. Yes, we don't want to give the new GM a 7 year re-build team - but the new GM needs to accept the fact that this is a franchise pool and it will take a bit to re-build. |

| Message | How about an option c): continue to look for another GM. Maybe Jono is not the best fit for what the FHL is looking for at this time. I can only speak from my own experience but when I was first approached to join the FHL I jumped at the chance. In fact I so loved this pool that I voluntarily took my team through a second expansion, setting myself back a few more years. If Jono doesn't quite have the passion we are seeking maybe he is not the right fit to fill a 7th GM spot. |

| Message | yeah i hear you.. he has no leverage, but also nothing to lose if he doesn't want to GM Scott's team.. if 6 is the consensus that's fine, if we want to add a solid GM i don't think it's unreasonable to offer a similar expansion model that jeff, jeff (part 2) and i and phil were offered. jeff mentioned the concern of a new GM losing interest after a couple years. you create interest by giving a new GM as much control over his roster as possible, creating a vested interest in the pool.. it's not very attractive to an outsider to have 2 teams fold, offer the garbage one and divy up the spoils of the good one. how about a new vote? (with Rob's blessing) A) negotiate or B) six team league |

| Message | Funny, I didn't realize it was a negotiation. I guess the guy is legit. From my perspective, either take the team as is or we go to Plan B. No offence to the guy, but he doesn't have much leverage if we are just willing to go with 6....only my opinion though... |
