MessageThe Merstham A & C teams are at home this Saturday, so if you are coming to watch the first team why not come a little earlier and come out into the rec and see some of the up and coming stars. Both games kick off at 2pm, so come along and have a watch "it's free". Also well done to the A & B teams for making it through to the Semi Finals of their respective League Cup Competitions and for being in the mix for their League Titles.

MessageNot a good result on Tuesday but the opposition were a strong determined outfit, obviously keen to return to the premier division.
however a BIG thank you to all who worked extremly hard to get the pitch fit for play,we can ill afford to lose revenue by postponing matches.
here is hoping for a good match on Saturday.

MessageThanks to all for their good wishes,I am now on the mend and will be there tonight.

The programmes for tonite are stuck in Coventry, thanks to the inept Parcel Force who say they will be here tomorrow! There is nothing we can do, if you want one send an SAE to 2 Wood Street Merstham RH1 3PF and you can have one FOC.

MessageAnother home draw, and another another late goal conceded in injury time at the end of the 1st half and a stunning strike it was also,a bit like two of the goals at Chatham on Saturday. However should have wrapped the game up in the last 15 minutes, but could not take our chances, many will say a draw was a fair result, maybe it was,but with the better chances we had in the last 15,we should have taken all three points, however still only 5 defeats all season, albeit with too many draws, but give Faversham some credit they were a pretty decent outfit, one of the best teams at the Moatside this season in my opinion, and again two committed teams going for the win, moved up a place due to Walton and Worthing losing, but we need to be putting 3 points on the board to keep in touch with an average Burgess Hill, still plenty of points to play for,but after Friday night a couple of tough encounters, both at home to Bognor and Burgess hill, averyu important few games coming up.

MessageAnother away point which puts us 5th I think in the away form league,so an outstanding return on away games, maybe you could say two points dropped and again the way we played I think we should have won,but could not quite get our noses in front,we now need to improve our home form to make a serious push for the play, off,s having lost any ground today,Walton and Hersham won again, but if we can take max points from these two homes coming up in the next 6 days, then that will put us into an even better position, but at least we are in the mix, credit to the lads for coming from behind 4 times today, and apart from one of there goals ( second one ) how lucky were they with the others, even the back line felt they defended well today so there you go.See you all on Tuesday. smilie

MessageBest wishes to Richard. Nice to see the message from the Godalming manager. What amazed me about the incident was the ref who who was much closer to it than me didn't seem to hear the distinctive sound of bone on bone at the time. People near me all instantly thought it was a possible broken cheekbone yet the ref seemed totally oblivious. Louis has looked a really good player for us so with Wes gone now, this is a real loss.

MessageWell lads we lost a game of football that we should have won. We have lost a player for a couple of months and our secretary Richard who is very unwell. It is said that things happen in 3s. On SATURDAY let us start a new era at CHATHAM and give all of us something to cheer at.
