MessageWell it has to said. This Walton Casuals side were the most unpleasant and intimidating side I have ever seen Merstham play. Their players were trying to bully both our players and the officials all evening. They challenged every decision that the officials made against them , were constantly creating off the ball incidents and making over the top tackles like the one that injured Harry Ottaway. If winning is so important that you have deliberatly employ tactics that can cripple your oppentents then I only hope that Merstham will never become part of that cuture. Walton Casuals were a nasty unpleasant group of thugs and that was not helped by weak and inefficient officlas who allowed themselves to easilty intimitated.

MessageWell 5-1 defeat looks bad on paper but 3 decisions in their 3rd, 4th, and 5th goals cost us what could of been an interesting end.
Walton are a good side but intimidate the ref verbally in a way that shouldn`t be allowed.Mid table is a satisfactory position to be in seeing as we are against money teams or teams that intimidate the officials.Graeme in his 2nd season is doing a really good job.

MessageWith regard to tonights game and the 5-1 home loss to Walton Casuals,I would like to apologise to Merstham F.C for some of my behaviour tonight, and also an apology to both Neil Shipperly and Luke Evans of Walton Casuals and anyone else i offended from Walton.Football is a passonant game and having gone two nil down, after the officilas had made yet another mistake with the penalty decision, which he admitted later he got wrong,I got angry with what I thought was bullying tactics from Walton, and that was my opinion, and I think both the referee and Linesman got affected by this, however sometimes you havee to play to your strength,s and walton Casuals do,however i dont think players should try and get other players sent off,I dont think thats good for the game and this was why I got angry with Luke Evans, however as said I hope both Neil Shipperly and Luke Evans can accept my apology ,and all at Merstham,Ted Hickman,Martin Burr and Richard Baxter and all the other board of directors can acept my apology also. After tonight I hope Grahame is still in charge as I have said before he is a gentleman, and hope he does not feel agrieved after what happened tonight either.See you all Saturday hopefully,I will take a few chill pills.

MessageA great result yesterday to quieten all the doubters of this great side.
Rob is right in backing up what I say, we should get behind the boys on Tuesday at home. Let's be heard backing the boys loudly in what will be a tough game.
Another 3 points will look very good on the points total.
Aaron Murphy got off to a losing start at Redhill yesterday, and Ben King only played a youth team game on Wednesday for Sutton United. Some peoples idea of progress is questionable. He will never make the first team there while they are in a push for automatic promotion. Did Billy Marshall feature for Met Police?
It's funny how the doubters of our coaching staff have gone quiet on here now!

MessageMick in reply, and then we can leave it at that as I would rather talk about the positives at Merstham, your right, you did stay a season in the Ryman South and had a decent finish, just missing out,so I am sorry for my mistake although I still stick by my other comments as there were other people also affected by your appointment at Leatherhead, but lets all move on,onto Merstham and a good result yesterday and so pleased for all concerned and the lads did o.k a good first half and deserved lead, but yet again we could not quite kill it off,how many times have we seen that this season, however we defended for our lives had some luck at times, but in the end we got the late winner and wrapped up 3 points at a dificult ground, lets hope we can continue in a tough game on Tuesday, but as has already been said lets get behind the lads.

MessageWell done lads,a great result on a cold murky day, just the lift we need.
sorry we were not there, both of us sniffling and coughing, but hopefully we will be at merstham on tuesday albeit tony may be late due to work.
Well done Graeme and the support team, Rome wasn't built in a day so it may take a season or two to get to the top.

MessageI feel I have to answer Rob's damming character reference regarding myself on such a public message board.
As for not staying around to Manage Merstham in the Ryman League I think your find we just misssed out on the play offs and then to say I wasn't genuine and honest I just can't believe that statement.
I told the Directors my intentions that I was going to apply for the Leatherhead job before I even got an interveiw. I would say I was more honest than many Managers would be out of respect to all at Merstham.
PS I personally think Graeme is a good young manager destined to go higher if future family commitments allow him!!!!
