MessageIf you feel conned out of your fee I suggest you go back to the Grove and ask their board for your money back.

True fans support the team through thick and thin, there is not much point in getting in a whole new squad at this stage of the season is there?

Yes, it was disappointing but we do not have the massive budget that Leatherhead enjoy, the teams at the top have the most money, simple.

Have a look back at Mick's 1st 3 seasons with us, not very good I assure you. He turned things around and we then had a great three years.
If we hadn't we would have still supported our Manager and team.

Lets face it, I wouldn't think that anybody gets up in the morning and decides they will play badly and lose.

Messagesmilie Have to say I agree with Steve Duke,I thought the performance against Whyteleafe was bad enough, but last night was a joke,no heart,no guts,no commitment and in fact no ability.Leatherhead won without getting out of 2nd gear and that was frightening as had they really gone for it we may have been been beaten by an even bigger scoreline.Hard to see where we go from here and the club need to be doing something about it,I can see us losing some of the better players in the team and this will be a concern,I am sure Taff is doing his best, but we look like a side on a downward slope, and trying to work with what he has at the moment must be difficult, hard to see where the next win is going to come from and beginning to look like we will be safe due to non relegation this season but as I said recently that is a shame as supporters will drop away.Lets here your opinions on the current situation and some may think I am talking rubbish and we should enjoy the position we are in ( Ryman Football )but I am beginning to think that maybe Combined Counties is where we should be,then at least we can accomadate Combined Counties players,at the moment I think the team we have would struggle in the Combined Counties, anyway well done to leatherhead, that was a football lesson from teacher to students and the teachers won hands down. smilie smilie

MessageI was at the Leatherhead game tonight and find myself dismayed at the performance.
We didn't look like we wanted to win the game from the first minute. 1 shot on the goal in 90 minutes.... That is not good enough I am afraid.
Please can someone tell me how this team is ever going to challenge for honours with what we currently have.
A Leatherhead fan next to me summed it up by saying "All they are doing is hoofing and hoping"... He is right. It was embarrasing.
Myself and 2 other friends who travelled to watch the game feel conned out of our admission fee.
What will the board do to show any form of appreciation?
Crowds will definitely begin to drop I am afraid.

MessageAgree with Iris, second half in particular we were much the better side and had we had a bit of luck, could have won the game, but a decent point against a strong Faversham side and after the dissapointment of tuesday the lads showed some fight and were up for it so well done to Taff and the rest of the lads.Another difficult one on Friday, but at least we can go into the game on the back of a decent result and performance.

MessageI watched the match on Wednesday and although we lost to a Whytleafe side that where good, I thought the lads of Merstham had no luck at all, everyone was trying hard and ran their legs off.
We just did not have luck on Tuesday after a good performance at Wothing last Saturday, I think we will go forward from this performance.

MessageWhat I want to know is, what does 'lack of ambition' mean?

What do Merstham FC have to do that they are not doing now to be 'ambitious'. What points are you making that mean this isn't just another rambling moan following home defeat?
