MessageNow that Andy Martin is firmly in the hot seat who is his coaches etc and who are running the Reserves.
It seems a pity that such an important issue has been ignored.

MessageFirst off i would like to thank everyone at Merstham FC for their help and support over the last 5 seasons, and giving me the opportunity to play for a great club.
In reference to some comments made below, it was true that I did text Taff saying that I wanted to quit Merstham and take a break but did mention the reason was because i was not enjoying my football at Merstham anymore.. the reply I got said simply 'i would like you to have stayed' and mentioned nothing about calling anyone. The move to South Park was not lined up, i approached the South Park manager later in the week to ask if i could do a bit of training and was invited to join - I decided that it would be a new challenge to play for a good, up and coming club. I hope there is no hard feelings and I wish Merstham the best for the future.

MessageI would like to wish David Smith all the best in the future. He stayed with the club when nearly all the other members of the first team squad left when MS went to Leatherhead and he deserves our thanks for his loyalty. It's disappointing that he does not appear to have been entirely honest with our current manager about his future intentions, but I suppose that is football today.

MessageDissapointing to see David go as he has always shown potential and is young enough to progress so that is a bit dissapointing for the progress of the club on-going,however Ross White is a more than capable replacement out on the right side of the park,on the plus side I have known Sean a long time since Sutton youth team day,s and is a handful so could be the type of player that Harry can feed off and they are both goal scorers so that is a plus, obviously that is as long as Harry stay,s at the club, which I for one hope he does,as far as the other 3 players, know very little about them,Davenport appears to have been used quite alot for Chipstead as a sub and Folkes appeared as a sub for Horsham YMCA,do they have the quality we need, well time will tell,as for Adjei, there is a good video of him juggling the ball, lets hope he can juggle past a few of the opposition players.

MessageFacts of this week's player movements as follows:-

David Smith

Text to the manager last Sunday stating "going to take a break from football for the rest of the season" Andy replied "Don't want to lose you give me a call"

He had no call from David, but I got a mid week call from South Park asking if they could sign David without putting in a 7 day approach! Make what you will of that.

Louis Clark

I had a message from Mick S at Leatherhead saying Louis had turned up there. As far we knew he was still injured, he had made no contact and did not have the decency to call Andy and ask to be released. We have let him go...after he finally spoke to our manager.

And the good news,we have signed four players this week

Sean Rivers and Danny Davenport from Chipstead
Omar Folkes from Horsham YMCA
Emmanuel Adjei from AC Milan

See you tomorrow...
