| Message | I am so glad this weird chapter went over well with you guys Stef: Yes, that is how I had it playing out in my mind too, so I'm pleased it did make sense to you, too. I also agree the two lovers are much closer emotionally now. Elrond has revealed real flaws, honest fears, anger that arises from his both his love for Legolas and his insecurities; he has experienced true grief and the onset of fading, and openly expressed al this to Legolas, letting him know how deeply he needs and depends upon him. All of this is much what Legolas had been showing us throughout. In this way at least they are now equals and respect one another as such.So yes, their union after this was a far more binding experience, but yes there will be a ceremony, too ![]() Tanya: What wonderful words of praise Thank you very very much. You speak truer words than maybe you know: I live my whole life this way, seeing it from an external perspective at the same time I am living it. It is strange but this is how my mind works. It took a long time for me to understand that others don't do this, and it seems I can at last put it to good use. So happy you feel at home in the little Tolkien AU I've cobbled together here. ![]() |

| Message | what a chapter! and what a nightmare for Elrond (you were really upset with him!) i think only the first part of it was a dream, partly prophetic, just like elrohir's in one of the first chapters, than from legolas intervention and his heated exchange with his parents reality: i'm thrilled because i think they truly married in that pavillon! but alas both families and people deserve a nuptial feast and so i think we will also see the cerimonial part in the next pages.. |

| Message | Vicky: Thank you! Yes, I think she's done now and will let them come to terms with it in their own way. I deliberately didn't reveal what thoughts she pulled from which mind: Elrond's or Legolas', so we can't be sure if that fantasy was something she saw in her son's mind or in Elrond's Ceren Cae: Thank you ! I am glad that what ultimately comes across is how much Elrond really does appreciate his mate.I think it was finding that deep devotion in Elrond's soul that has turned Rhun'waew more in his favour. ![]() |

| Message | Oh I loved the beautiful passage that you used to open and close this 'extra' chapter. There was such a feeling of serenity about Elrond as he woke up next to Legolas. Not that that feeling lasted long! My brain nearly turned inside out trying to figure out what was dream and what was reality. My personal feeling is that Rhun'waew was back inside his head for most of that, manipulating his perceptions and his memories and fears. I hope she's finished with that now - I think Elrond has suffered enough and it must be hurting Legolas too. I think they need some time to themselves without interference! Can't wait for the next chapter! |

| Message | Thank you Vicky! So happy you enjoyed this and liked Rhun'waew's mysterious powers. Add this to her interesting knowledge of the affects of certain plants when ingested or inhaled and she's rather formidable. whether or not she can really sunder such a strong bond is doubtful, in my mind, and her words represent more a mother's denial. she would like to believe there are other options for Legolas but I think in her heart of hearts, she realises how much their souls are intertwined and how much her son has grown to love Elrond. still, i think she will be interested to test the twins' commitment, too. oh yes, Thranduil and Rhun'waew were certainly eager to meet the twins before, though not with any generous feelings. right now, it is a question of how much do they know? Celeborn is an ally and a kinsman, but the twins are his grandsons. would he reveal much about their personal lives to the angry parents? probably not, so there are many surprises in store for the king and queen and some very uncomfortable moments ahead for the twins. i like the point you made about the house. it is indeed very special and speaks volumes to their true repentance and remorse, as well as their growing love for legolas, which neither has been able to admit as yet. finally i agree about Elrond. all through the story, it has been legolas who was insecure, but we see now elrond has been just as frightened and doubtful of why Aearen loves him. Let's hope this helps them! ![]() |

| Message | I've been away all week - this was a lovely treat to come home to! I was wondering how Legolas' parents would find out about the twins. I thought they might worm the information out of Legolas. I never imagined Elrond would blurt it out himself, even if he was drugged at the time! However painful it was for Elrond to face up to his past and his failings in that way, I think it was necessary. Until he believes that Legolas loves him for who he actually is they will never be able to have a truly honest relationship. And of course, a bit of me was glad to see Elrond suffer after all he had put Legolas through. I can imagine that Thranduil and Rhun'raew must have taken a certain amount of satisfaction in the proceedings I loved the nod to the Hobbit with Elrond chasing the fires that mysteriously winked out whenever he reached them. And your description of Elrond's break down was amazing. Now I'm sure Thranduil and Rhun'waew must be anxious to meet the twins. I can't wait to see how that meeting goes. At least the house they are building shows how well they understand Legolas. And I'm very interested to find out more about Rhun'waew. She must be very powerful if she thinks she can separate Legolas from Elrond. As always I can't wait for more! |

| Message | first off,let me say how much this feed back means to me. the guestbook failed to send me notice after Lynda's kind words and I had come to believe the last chapter of Aearlinn absolutely bombed. i was ready to give up, waking everyday trying to talk myself into writing the next chapter, so thank you all ![]() Dawn: You are so right. I don't think anyone has had the nerve to speak to Elrond like this except Lindir. Legolas will have to see the love behind his parents' actions. ![]() Ceren Cae: What kind praise! thank you so much. Yes, Rhun'waew is something else and she will see to it Legolas is happy one way or another. ![]() Ebbingnight: I was so pleased to see your response - Legolas IS so young in this story. Elrond has enjoyed the advantage of his years but maybe now he recalls that allowances should be made and extra care taken with such vulnerability. Legolas barely had time to form his own identity before his bonding to Elrond. ![]() Stef: thanks I promise there will be more on Rhun'waew's strange gifts. Haven't decided if Legolas will have much of it but it's an interesting idea. I'm finally writing again so hopefully not too long. I promise to get back to Arwen and bring in the twins to meet the family soon. Thanks also for the feedback on nestaron, too, and you hit the nail on the head!Thank you everyone! You've restored my confidence much love, ellen |
