Messagehi vicky! it is good to be back, though the trip was great. yes, you've read that story well smilie Cuthenin would most definitely like to have Glorfindel tattooed and is quite eager for Glorfindel to pick one for him to wear, also. It is definitely an aspect of the courtship ritual, which has not been explored very deeply yet but certainly mentioned quite a few times. I am wondering how Glorfindel might feel about that, being permanently marked again. he was willing to be branded but that was under extreme circumstances where Legolas would fade. now he will have to decide this without such a strong motivator. he could probably get out of it because he's not a follower of Pad-en-Tawar, but he loves Legolas and maybe is just starting to understand that. he must be wondering what the formal courtship involves but events have kept them too busy to ask for details. i feel certain Galdor will instruct him.

MessageIt's great to see you back! I'm glad you had a good time.

I for one am pleased to see that Feud and Cuthenin is up there on your list of priorities to complete. I've been re-reading Cuthenin while you were away and wondering about the tattoos. Do you think Glorfindel should get a tattoo to mark him as Legolas' betrothed?

Messagehi ceren cae

oh yes, very tired, but i can't tell lf it's jet lag or just exhaustion in general. got in at 3 am on the 12th. the Louvre was magnificent and overwhelming. i would need a week just to see everything, but i'm glad i went

oops! forgot meril thafn. smilie and this after i found a fantastic rose coloured marble column at the Louvre! (how weird is that?) ok, i could work on balrog and meril thafn simultaneously since legolas is so different in age the two characterisations won't merge.

Messagehi stef, yeah, you're right, Cuthenin has had it tough, too. OK, about Feud. It is on my list of top priorities to finish that story. I just wanted to finish up Aearlinn and have one nice legolas story completed. I have a bad habit of starting stories and then getting depressed about them and letting them go into limbo. So that's the order of completion: Aearlinn, Feud, Cuthenin, Balrog.

Didn't get to Museed'Orsey, but did see Montmarte and Moulin Rouge,Sacre Couer, the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Concord, Halles Pavillion, more I can't remember right now, walked the quays and the bridges, rode the metro everywhere I could.

As for Bretagne, my favourite was definitely Carnac, even though it rained almost non-stop. Of the megaliths I saw, my favourites are the rings in the woods, far from any beaten path, and le Petit Menec, because I could wander freely amid the stones. again, they were not easy to fins and most people stayed to the well-known.

Messageactually i was talking about Cuthenin, but it applies also to Feud. can i whine a little? you didn't upadate Feud since last Christmaaaas.....

i'm very happy for your daughter too, and i hope she can have her honeymoon in paris!
did you visit the Musee d'Orsey? and Montmartre? and in Bretagne, what did you like best?
hope the flight home was not too tiring!

Messagehi stef! you're talking about Aearlinn or Feud? I guess it does apply to both stories. i am awfully hard on legolas smilie

ah, Paris is great! since there's a metro, i'm right at home. have gone as many places as i could but only scratched the surface. today i spent at the Louvre and only saw a fraction. never got to the cemeterie Montmarte where so many famous people are buried. tomorrow i go home.

glad you had such a wonderful place for your honeymoon. my youngest daughter just emailed that she's engaged and i know this is where she wants her honeymoon, too. smilie

MessageI agree with Vicky, Legolas should definitively know what bliss and peace can be found in a true lover before leaving with Frodo.
He has too little joy and satisfactionm in his life so far!
update soon please!
about your trip to France, how i understand your poor feet! somehow you cannot have enough when you are in so splendid a country!
how was Paris? i love that city and it has a special meaning for me as i spent my honeymoon there...

MessageOh no - sorry to hear you've hurt your feet. What have you done?

Hmmm... a Cuthenin 'should they or shouldn't they' debate. Now that's a good idea! I think they definitely should - Legolas is going to need the security and comfort of knowing that Glorfindel is well and truly his when he's on the quest. And as for who claims who - well I think Glorfindel should do the claiming first. I think his pride might not stand up to the inexperienced and much younger Legolas being the dominant one. But that doesn't mean Legolas can't try out what he's learned later on!

Enjoy the rest of your trip!
