Messageebbingnight, thank you smilie cannot tell you how posting this chapter made me fret. so glad it worked for you and was not too overdone. they are not rubies, of course, but Elladan is no geologist. they have to be a singular variety of red quartz we don't have here in the Severed Realms smilie Elladan is also just a little off as to what has really been happening in there, or rather who is responsible. thank you for the feed back smilie

MessageHello dear,

Oh, I wish I had the artistic talent to make you a banner for chapter 10 of Barad-en-Elai! What a stunning, stunning visual image the red gem caverns present: and what has gone on in there will surely haunt my dreams tonight....

Messagehi ebbingnight smilie oh i thank you for reviewing this chapter. yes it is starting to get a bit grim now, but as the beginning (which is the end - almost) portends there is much suffering for Elladan. This was the start of it. I can't give anything away just yet as the next chapter answers what you want to know, at least partially. i am really pleased that where it is heading is not obvious just yet smilie

yes, Aearlinn is going to be fun when i can get back to it. i can't wait to add in the piercing, which i had given up making a reality until Galad-in-elin made me think about it and figure out a way. so it is sure to be a very erotic chapter smilie

but i have only two more chapters (possibly three but i am trying to wind it up) of the maglor story and then must do a feud update as promised. so aearlinn is still in hibernation for the time being.

thank you for the support on this story;it is gruelling and fights me constantly. but i will prevail. smilie

MessageHello dear,

My heavens, chapter 8 of Barad-en-Elei has gotten so very intense: I'm quite fearful for Elladan with Maglor like this! What will happen when he realizes Elladan can't be Elros, and what will happen when Elladan realizes it too? (This is hinted at in the Prologue, but how exactly will it play out? You've set quite a puzzle there for us!)

Also, for Aerlinn: I just wanted to say how much I agree that it's vital that Elrond understand that Legolas is not responsible for the creation of the triple bond. If anyone needs to be "punished" for that, it's certainly not Legolas! And I can hardly wait for the lovely gifts that have been suggested for a future chapter!

Messagethank you stef smilie you always come through for me. thank you so much for the kind praise for this story. it is a challenge but i am determined to finish it up.now that i am not beset by van troubles i can concentrate on writing again. what a relief.

i had thought little of maglor myself, preferring maedhros and those enigmatic twin brothers we know next to nothing about. but i am trying to make him real and hope he redeems himself fully here in the end. your thoughts on elladan are key - who can heal him?he seems to have chosen someone so deeply damaged to love. that says a great deal about his mindset, fate aside. but fate is running the show, so we shall see. thank you again so very much. you are the best smilie

MessageMaglor and Elladan
well done my friend! I admit i was not fond of maglor or any of the feanorians' princes, but this is a masterpiece.
you have a gift in making characters alive with so many different shades.
and i love the insecure, lonely elladan you portraied, his lie has him trapped, but in his mind it is the only way to be loved; i hope he can be healed one day.
as for poor maglor... i hope he will be forgiven and find peace, what a tragic hero!
i cannot wait to read more

MessageGalad-in-elin, i love that you are using the guestbook smilie But you can always write to me at me email: erobey@gmail.com and i will reply.

i love these ideas and they make perfect sense, especially the part about Elrond taking the opportunity to prove he is not going to punish Legolas for the triple bond - very important because he has been taking his resentment out on his new love terribly up to now. So i like that scenario and plan to incorporate the navel decoration and the nipple studs. (he can take them out when the pregnancy makes him too tender) I have figured out the perfect way to work it into the story - you will love it smilie

i also appreciate your thoughts on this pairing and why it works here. i agree with you, Legolas is exactly what Elrond needed. Now i have to work on Elrond so that he can be exactly what Legolas needs, too.

you're the best smilie thank you so much for all this great stuff. it is so nice to meet someone who cares about the stories as much as i do, if not more smilie
