| Message | heya everyone, i just come to check out the site and see what was going on the summer, its nice to see so many people getting involved with come home year this year. i am hoping to get back myself, i have only been gone a little over 6 months, but i miss that place like crazy. hoping to see all you people that i havent seen in a while thats also moved away. well good luck with everything, and hope to see everyone real soon, miss you all and hope you all had a safe and happy new year and christmas.   |

| Message | As someone who was very involved in the last Grand Bank Come Year celebrations, it is great to see messages from many who came home in 97. To those involved in the planning, it will be great when you hear from those who come home and tell you of the wonderful time they have had and that they will want to come back in another 10 years time. As someone who just recently moved myself, I wish all the best to the committee and I hope to make it home. (If Reg and the Rebels are playing, it will make some of our decisions easier as I believe they are certainly part of our musical heritage). |

| Message | Happy New Year to all and a BIG thank you to those who are working so hard to make this Come Home year and the unveiling of the Mariners' Memorial a celebration to remember. I would like to thank Bob Parsons who has arranged a meeting place for those of us interested in our 'Roots'. If you have done any genealogy please bring it along as well as old photos or any other memorabilia you'd be willing to share. I have a photo of the grade One class of the UC Academy of 1942, Don Good, Joan Foote, Phyllis Rogers, Ethel Stoodley, Bill Dolimount, George Forsey, Helen Keeping, Winnie Rose, Margaret Evans, Betty Foote, Eleanor Carr, Edna Snook, Margaret Crowley, Mary Francis, Cecil Patten, Betty Camp. Our teacher was Helen Forsey. Sure hope to see some of you there. |
