MessageLinda and I came to visit this summer and connect with my roots. My mother lived in Victoria Village and I pretty sure half my relatives are buried in the cemetary there. My mother's name was Julia Mae Clarke. If anyone know information about her I would very much like to hear.

Thanks

Messagesmilie Carbonear is a beautiful town & even more so when I was growing up. I miss the town area and all the stores that are no longer there or closed up.

I am dismayed as to why the streets remain in bad shape, what does it take to get the pot holes etc cleaned up.

I lived in Carbonear for 16 yrs and loved it - and every chance I get I go back for a visit. One request, get the post holes cleaned up...especially if we want to entertain our visitors... smilie

MessageHey everyone,
Take an hour next time you're in Carbonear and do the Historic Walking Tours! Monday & Tuesday:10:30am, Wed. & Thurs. 3pm & Friday nite @ 7pm: All leave from the Railway Museum. The Friday nite Tour is a Cemetery Tour with a chilling tale!Back at the Railway Museum after there's a lot of different entertainment (see local newspaper: Compass for details)every Friday night after the walk.Excellent way to learn all about the history of this wonderful old Town!

MessageWe live in Chilliwack British Columbia. We just went to Carbonear on Saturday, 7/18/9. Great place. The whole area reminds me of English little towns. The quaint homes the narrow roads, all by the sea. So nice to know that there are very nice people in this world. Would love to live here.

MessageOkay, Im Only signing this guest book because i, and alot of other teens want a skateboarding park build here in carbonear. I Know ALOT of people who skateboard, I for one love skateboarding. So If no one from the council even bothers with this letter and writes be back or anything, i'll start a petition.

Thanks. smilie
