MessageI received the following message from Brian Britton's family with reference to Brian's funeral service:-
Here are the details for Brian's funeral if you would like to come, it's next Wednesday 26th Sept, 10:30 at the Independent Methodist Church in Easington Lane Houghton Le Spring, Tyne And Wear, DH5 0LE, the burial will follow at Houghton just afterwards.
The wake is at the North Biddick Social Club, Bonemill Lane, Washington NE38 8AJ.

MessageI am so sorry to hear of Sean's passing,it was only 2 years ago at the reunion at Colchester that he and i had a good natter and laugh together about the old days,he knew then that his time was numbered,but was soldiering on through it, until recently we were in contact by E Mail.A sad loss,and sincere condolences to his family and friends.RIP Sean i for one will miss your dry wit and friendship.

MessageI have just been informed by his stepdaughter that Geordie (Brian) Britton a member of the battalion from the late sixties/ early seventies has passed away after a long illness. As John Hill advised on the message board 23/08/12 Brian was found to have a brain tumour which was inoperable and it was the case of making him comfortable until the end.
Our heart felt condolences are with Brian’s family and our thoughts are with them at this sad time.

When I am informed of the funeral arrangements I will post them immediately on the message board.
