MessageI speak for the whole regiment of paratroopers in wishing platoon commander Sammy Adams a swift recovery from his second battle with cancer. A braver and more dedicated soldier I have yet to be blessed to know. All our love respect and admiration go unreservedly to a truly man of integrity and valour. MessageIt is my sad duty to inform you that one of our Airborne brothers James(Jimmy)Leach has gone to the FRV after a grave illness bravely born.
"Jimmy" was a member of the Battalions Anti-Tank Pln from 1957 to 1960 and went to Jordon when they were deployed there in '58.He was also in the lightweight Tug-of-war team under CSM Ferguson which won so many competitions in the late 1950s.
"Jimmy" will be sadly missed by his wife Vera and his large family, RIP my friend and deepest condolences to all your family and friends.

WE were in 14 platoon in Maida but got split afer Abingdon, him to 3 and me to 1, was a a good mate but lost touch after Suez in 56, I see he is a member in your club, if anyone is in contact with him or know of his whereabouts I'd be grateful if they could tell him or get me his contact details, thanks lads.

MessageMemorial Service for Major John Holborn. Following a family funeral for close family only, there will be a service to celebrate his life on Wednesday 10th April 2013 at St Peter's Old Parish Church, 60 Church Avenue, Farnborough, Hampshire GU14 7AP at 3.00pm. Tea will be served after the service in the Parish Centre (next door). Parking is very restricted in this area. Advice is you use the shopping centre car park on the opposite side of the A325. Rose, John's widow wants this to be a happy occasion, so please wear bright clothes and remember John with a smile.
I hope this answers the question for the earlier post who failed to leave his email address.
