| Message | Received on Gmail It is my sad duty to inform you that Sgt 24065489 James F POSTILL passed away on Sunday 18 January, 2015, after contracting Motor Neurone disease approximately 18 months ago. Jim served with the KINGS Regiment initially, transferring to the Parachute Regiment (3 Para). Jim has lived for many years in Boothstown, SALFORD, where he and his partner Sue spent a life together. Jim was approx. 65 years old, and was a strapping figure of a man, indeed had his own building firm. The illness and his death has come as a big shock to us all. I have known Jim for around 30 years, and we spent many an evening out with the lads locally, and religiously attending Manchester on Remembrance and Ardwick Barracks afterwards, where we both spent part of our Army service. We do not have a date for the funeral yet, but it will be in SALFORD. What I am requesting is possibly a Standard Bearer from yourselves, and maybe a couple of currently serving soldiers in their No.2's ( I understand this will be difficult), to attend on the day, plus any of your local members who may be able to support the day.
