MessageGood Morning All, In answer & response to Michael's post & the matter of Absent Friends "As it was not proposed or voted upon at the last AGM" The only matter considered at the AGM was the update and 2 minute silence held by those who attended the meeting. However Michael you may wish to propose this change and have it voted upon at the next AGM in 2017. On behalf of the committee we appreciate your contribute and thank you for your view Michael and look forward to catch up soon. GDD.
LEAST WE FORGET....

MessageWith reference to the last message . I thought it had been agreed that we would toast our absent friends at the Gala Dinner. This would be more fitting that we honer them with a toast. I think we should vote on this at the AGM

MessageOn behalf of the President & Committee we would like to bring to your attention a point off order in respect to Absent Friends as some annoyance was viewed on this matter on the evening at the Annual Gala Dinner. Each year prior to the dinner we hold our Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) whereupon we carryout a role call off members of the reunion club who have regretfully passed away and have gone to the Final RV. Also as a committee we ask the floor & members to update all present on any deaths that may have slipped through our net & have not been recorded.
After the role call has been completed in a mark off respect we stand in a 2 minute silence in respect to our deceased comrades. Regretfully for some that do not attend the (AGM) miss out on this mark of respect by members to our deceased members.
Please, all beware this act is not repeated at the Gala Dinner on the evening. So as committee makes no mistakes by not mentioning a diseased member, causing embarrassment to our guest's & members.
As committee we strive to do our best to ensure we look after the members wishes.
Hopefully now this message clears up any misunderstanding on procedures with honoring Absent Friends and no further outburst will be needed or viewed on the dinner evening.
Finally as another year come to an end the committee wish all members & families the very best of Health Wealth & Prosperity in the New Year & look forward to seeing you all again in Blackpool in 2017. UTRINQUE PARATUS
