| Message | NEXT REUNION received the info below from the battalion RSM regarding accomodation. Colchester Camping Non member Pitch Fee per day £7.00 Caravan £18.00 Mobile Home/RV Adult Fee £5.00 per person per night Child Fee £2.00 per person per night Premier Travel Inn 20 Rooms Mon – Thurs £64.00 per night Room Only Fri – Sun £55.00 per night Room Only The George Hotel 47 Rooms Total Discounted Room Rates – Bed & Breakfast Single - £65.00 per night Double - £75.00 per night The Riverside Hotel 18 Rooms Total Offering 67% discount, which is £55.00 per night Bed & Breakfast (usually £165.00 per night) There are not many hotels in Colchester but there are quite a few B&Bs - see website called 'smoothhound' to search for these. Booking this type of accomodation will be down to the individual. However, the RSM is hoping to arrange transit accomodation for anyone attending unaccompanied. Cost not yet known. | Message | Hi all hope your all well, just had my 47th birthday I REMEMBER WHEN I THOUGHT THAT WAS OLD. I REMEMBER MY 20th on the Canbera when a couple of the lads saved me a few tins which were greatly received. It seems like a few years a go. now I understand why people used to talk about the second world war when I was younger because to them that was not along time ago. I know it looks like I,m rambling but what I,m trying to say is it would be easy to forget. But I dont want too they were our brothers.and they are always with us. Never mind the credit crunch. There not even here to see the morning or a beer. I will never forget.
