| Message | Received on gmail if anyone can help. Hello, I wondered if you would be able to help me. My father, Bob McGowan covered the Falklands War for the Daily Express and spent the majority of his time with 3 para and Colonel H. He wrote, Don't Cry for Me Sergeant Major with Jeremy Hands which was passionately written for 3 para and those who fought in the war. I hope you all remember him. If you do you'll remember that he's a real character and a brilliant and caring man. So the short story is that he has cancer but don't worry he is going to beat it especially with his humour. He's nicknamed the tumours, Ralph and the Boys! As I'm sure all of you know, having support is one of the most powerful things to get you through anything so I wondered if some of you who may remember him would drop him a line or give him a call and just say, "So how's Ralph and the Boys?". He a tough guy who can get through anything even alone but I know how much just one call from any of you would give him more strength to beat this bloody thing! It would be even better if when asked how you got his number or email that you just say to him, "I cannot reveal my sources". His number is +34 617 064 014 and his email is [email protected] Thank you so much for this and thank you for all your bravery which undoubtedly is never appreciated enough. Kindest regards, Emma |
