Messagesmilie Has anybody else noticed that once again England will play Ireland on 17 MARCH at Twickenham K.O. 1700hrs, not only is it St Patricks day but more importantly it is the same DAY AND TIME as the A.G.M. in Blackpool!!!!!Following on from Englands disaster in Dublin in last years fixture is it really worth asking the Chairman to once again bring forward the A.G.M.?.............ANSWERS PLEASE!!!

Tony RIP did not die in the middle east, he was another 3para boxer Joe Lock serving in 22 attatched to TOS traveling in a landrover that was blown up both ended in wheelchairs.
I have heard two versions of how Tony died in this country but not knowing the right one I will keep it to myself.
I met Joe Lock at Jimmy Grants memorial service in Aldershot he looks well, still in his chair but in true Airborne spirit.

MessageHow are you Taff,the last time we met was down at Southsea in the Outback bar about 4 or 5 years ago,i think you were with Terry G and his lady.You mention many names on your last post to bring back memory's.Tony(Scouse)Fleming for one,what a great boxer he was,sad to say that after going to 22 he didn't "beat the clock" and lost his life in the middle east,a sad loss.Do you remember when "H" was Pl Comd in British Guiana when we went up country to Tacarma(Spelling)on the paddle boat,and living in those old broken down pig styes? and also the time "H" took us all down to his Dads place at Dartmouth?

Messagehi doug,i remember eric machin 3para mortars,on this particular inncident 3 para mortars had been on excercise at catterick and our platoon commander gave us the weekend of.so the platoon split into 3groups one lot stayed with eric in stockton,another group stayed in mboro and myself and a few others stayed in redcar with ginger greaves and we all met up at the corporation pub in mboro on the sat.night. there was an abundance of thunderflashes and secondary charges from our mortar bombs which the thunderflashes wrecked the shitter which for one guy having a dump was quite shellshocked,as you would expect it kicked of me and ginger ended up in mboro general hospital but not for long. our platoon comm. denied everything loveley man.what a platoon.
