MessagesmilieI got hooked in around 1983. My parents were stationed at RAF Bentwaters/Woodbridge, and I must have been in 4th grade. Thanks to the music of that time, including Joboxers, I have some of the greatest memories of my life running through Rendlesham forest. Thanks to you all, and here's hoping I get to go back to Suffolk! smilie

MessageMessage for Slip Mahoney! You probably don't remember two young girls from Surbiton, Alie and Claire. Sean DJ'd at our 21st birthday party in soho. I think we first met you and the lads at the Mud club one Friday night, or it may have been the Dirt Box.(remember Phil and Rob)? But I spent many nights after a night out crashed out on your sofa! I probably have quite a few photos of you around somewhere. There were the days when we thought we would be young forever and forty was oh so old!! Best years of my life and if I could get in a time machine, that is the time I would choose. Great to know you're still alive. smilie

Messagesmilie First of all thanks for a great site. its been a long time to hear from one of my favourite bands of the 80's. i was probably the only person in the whole school to get in on the act, but boy was it worth it. we should club together and see if we could get these boys back together for a live gig.
Thanks again and thanks to the Joboxers for their small part in all this !! smilie

MessageOh my God! There was a time when I used to get drunk with these guys. We used to go down the Dirt Box, the Mud Club and the Wag. I often wonder how they all are now. Chris was very shy but really funny too. I havent seen the guys since the mid 80's, when me and my mate Claire thought they were the best thing since sliced bread. I went to see Five Guys Named Mo, which Dig was in, but his part was played by someone else. I am so proud that I knew the boxers and when someone says 'curious george' I think of them and not Jack Johnson!!!!! Coz they were doing to boxerbeat! smilie

MessageHave been a HUGE fan of this band since I first saw the "Just Got Lucky" vid in highschool.. Bought the vinyl album (import!) and played it until it was beyond repair. Found another copy on eBay years later(God Bless eBay!), and then another, and then FINALLY got a CD- JOY! The music holds up today as well (if not better) than it did 20 years ago. God bless 'em. And THANKS for putting this site together! Great music, lyrics, and videos. Only regret is that JoBoxers never came to play Corvallis, OR in the 80's- I would've been front row! smilie
