MessageJames (with Ken Turner and Tommy Fairchild) visited Belfast in 1997 and our Crimson River Quartet hosted him in Crescent Church. It was a truly inspirational evening for us. It was with great pride and a sense of history when I played piano for him on his great song 'His grace reaches me'.

MessageJames Blackwood and the Blackwood Brothers were a huge part of my friends growing up. Since my father was a Gospel music producer and promoter, I had the great previlage of knowing James Blackwood as a close and personal friend. He was the kind of guy that made you fell like a part of his familey.
I know that many of you that knew him can say the same thing. He and Cecil were vary special, and after we join them in Heaven with our Lord, it will be wonderful too see them again.
I love you guys !! Byron

MessageI really loved the Blackwoods. James had a remarkable memory until the last. Everytime I would call him on the phone, And talk to him, he would call out a lot of names in my home town who would attend their concerts. I thought it was remarkable, because he had seen so may people. Terry Harpole-------Maben,Mississippi

MessageI have been wanting to find CD's of all the old James Blackwood quarted music I used to listen to.I have the records but would love to have them all on CD. I saw them several times in person. I will never forget the experiences of being there and the powerful messages in each song.My favorites, LEARNING TO LEAN ON JESUS, LEAVE A WELL IN THE VALLEY many others.I would so love to have these on CD. The website is a testimony of James and his love of Jesus and sharing his heart with others through his gift in music. Thank's for letting me stop in here. GOD BLESS you all.

MessageI was born into Southern Gospel music vary much like Elvis Presley and many of you. My father was a radio preacher who did thousands of SGM concerts as the promoter, producer, as well as the master of ceramony. The reason that I have said all of this is, The Lord allowed me to become friends with James Blackwood,as well as Cecil Blackwood and The Blackwood Brothers Quartet.

I just wanted to say that because of my experince with these fine servants of the Gospel, you will never find a better inspirational sound from Gospel music unlass you listen to The Blackwoods,
The Statesmen, The Stamps and a few others.

This is the music that Elvis Presley and myself were winged on. So please, let it be a part of your life as well !
