MessageWell Lenny,
As of tonight Skippy can count the number of sleeps left until he sees you, all on the pads of jus one paw, lol!!!
Just a short list things you should or shouldn't do before getting on the plane home:
1- Wear clean underwear on the flight home, in case you're the one picked for the body search.
2- Make sure that you have a proper value listed for all the items you stole during your trip, so as not to get caught at Canada Customs for undervalueing merchandise.
3- Be sure to turn your pockets inside out and burn the lint itself. They have drug dogs on duty at all airports now!
4- Remember not to go to the washroom once you've swallowed those unset diamonds. Wait until you get home to retrieve them.
5- Drink up any leftover alcohol. They don't have alcoholic dogs yet (and if they do, they're probably at an AA or NA meeting anyway).
6- Make sure all the packets of sugar and Nutrasweet we asked you to collect from dining room tables are kept in a waterproof bag.
They'll go to waste if the liquor you're smuggling back leaks in the suitcase.
In closing, I hope you were able to distribute all the counterfeit shekels we gave you for the relatives, so that when we get there
they'll wine and dine us in style!

Much Love,
Isabelle and Moshe

MessageHi Cheni,
I hope you having a great time exploring the south part of Israel, it is realy great to spend the night in a beduin tent and to drink a sweet bold tea.
I think that Masada the Dead Sea and Eilat also adding a special twist to your wonderful trip.
I would like to remind you to get back your pasport and the parole document on Sturday night it is crucial to your US return.

MessageHi, Jon - enjoyed our chat today -- hope you will be able to find those last few shopping items in the closing days. You'll have to give us a review of the Bedouin meal you had - it sure sounded good.

We briefly saw Jenna & her kids tonite - they stopped at Ponzio's to eat on their way to the shore and we drove over to say hello. Jonas mentioned the "dirty bird" again & we told him we'd be sure to let you know he was thinking about you. Mom & Bex will probably see them at the shore Friday when I'm at work...your room is looking good - new paint color is really nice. Phils won again tonite 6-4 as Lohse picked up the win & drove in a run to beat Dontrelle. Rowand hit a HR. Braves lost to Mets, so Phils have vaulted into 2nd & remain 4 back. Harang threw a 1-0 shutout against Dodgers who have skidded to 4th place in the west. I forgot to tell you that 2 nites ago the Cardinals tied an MLB record w/10 straight hits in an inning. Cant remember who they beat, though.

Glad you now know about the El Indio chips - hope the thought will keep you going on the long flight home. We'll try to have our Boston trip all mapped out by the end of this week - I know you have lots of things you'll want to do back home too.

Trust you'll be getting these notes soon - probably a backlog of letters all at once. Savor the next few days in Jerusalem. Love, Dad

MessageDear Rachel:

HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY!! smilie smilie smilie
What a memorable 16th birthday you have had! From the blog, we learned that you spent the day at Masada, Eilat and the evening on a disco boat! Hard to top that celebration! We had lots of thoughts about you today and we will not embarass you in this message in reflecting on the past 16 years of life with you. Enjoy your last few days of MBI. We love you so much. 16 hugs and kisses from your family.
Love,
Mom, Dad and Jeremy

MessageCharlie,

I thought you went snorkeling today, but the blog makes it sound like tomorrow. In any case, I am incredibly jealous, but hope you have a fabulous time. You will have to tell me about it when you return.

It was 102 here today, but should be cooler by the time you land.

New York was hit by a major thunderstorm (3 inches of rain in an hour) and a minor tornado. All forms of transportation essentially stopped for several hours. Apparently, a total mess. Fortunately, as of the evening news only 1 person had died.

You have probably heard this already, but Barry Bonds hit his 756th home run last night passing Hank Arron's record.

When I started to leave the house this morning I saw what looked like a small lizard (3 - 4 inches) on the top step. Even though I knew it might be a plastic toy, I freaked and refused to leave the house until Daddy checked it out.

Of course it was a plastic toy, but even when I knew that I found it creepy. It looked incredibly realistic out there.

Looking forward to seeing you.

Love Mom
