| Message | Hi Honey, It was so nice to hear your voice. I checked your card and you have over $200 on there....so you are in good shape for some retail therapy. Last night Matt Bomberg arrived.....he's staying for a few days en route back to Texas after his time in Argentina. He might still be here on Sunday when you get home....his plans aren't set yet. And Sam et. al. are en route to NYC for their concert. He left last night with Tom, Frank, Lawrence, and Chris Barlow. They re planning to camp out along the way and be back on Sunday. Today I have to take Seth to the academy to buy books and take a writing test. I met your new dean and she is a real doll. Very sweet and kind and a huge improvement over Jackson-I get the impression he was fired! Talked to Heidi who said she saw you....and you and Alex seemed great. See you Sunday. Love, Emah |

| Message | Hey Lenny: Well, I guess by the time you get this message you'll have hiked up Massada at the crack of dawn. Last time Moshe & I went, we crapped out and took the gondola up, lol! A bunch of people walked up and then ended up turning around and coming back down to take the gondola instead. It was so hot and the sun was beating down on us, so I knew I wouldn't be able to huff and puff my way up there. Have a fabulous time on the night cruise. Here's hoping there's a nice breeze to cool things down. I found it very very hot in Eilat & 1 day when we went to the laundromat, I ended up having 3 or 4 Mr. Freezes in a row because I was dying of heat and thirst. I read in the blog that the night was unusually cold in the Bedouin tents. I find it so strange that in desert areas, the days can be so deadly hot and the nights totally freezing. I suppose if a person knows about weather patterns, currents, etc... they understand it, but to me, it's a total enigma. As you may know, we have a totally unnecessary garbage strike in Vancouver. All the other municipalities have come to an agreement with their workers, except for us. So, this a.m. I am picking up a friend's garbage to take to our Smithrite at the office in Richmond. She's a bit slow and just lost her husband in February & I think she's a bit overwhelmed because he looked after those kinds of things. Well, kiddo, make the most of the balance of your trip. I hope you are enjoying yourself in these various activities. How was the Bedouin food? You will likely get to see Aunt Deena and Jordy this weekend. Remeber to have gum for the plane. | Message | Dear Shera, How are you? Just want to say hello and wish you a pleasant and safe flight on Sunday. Things are pretty quiet at home so you will have a chance to catch up on any sleep. We have been having alot of hot, humid, and rainy weather in Massachusetts and the McGrath bike trip was cancelled. I was not scheduled to go and I am glad. I would rather go with you on a bike trail. Also Pilot Pen tennis tournament is from August17-August 25th if you feel like going one day. I love you. See you soon Love MOM |
