MessageHi, I know I am grasping at straws here but here we go...
I am trying to find an old school chum of mine, Jon Reardon. He was the child of a first marriage of a lady who later re-married a Frothingham. I knew him (but not his parent's names) back in the early seventies (1970-72) when I lived in Paris. I clearly remember the Frothingham family crest proudly displayed in his family hallway.

Any leads on the Frothingham involved??
Any help is much appreciated!
Regards,
Pete

MessageI am responding to Holly Hendricks, 2007-02-05, who has information about the Boston Frothinghams who were Unitarian ministers. Two of them wrote hymns. An extensive online website, Cyber Hymnal, is seeking the place of burial and also a picture of Nathaniel Langdon Frothingham, to post on that website. If Holly Hendricks or anyone else can supply these items, please write to me or else write directly to the Cyber Hymnal website, which is [email protected] That website also asked for other information about Octavius Brooks and Nathaniel Langdon Frothingham, which I was able to supply. My address is: [email protected]

MessageLousa Brown Frothingham (198) did not marry a Reichner. She married Francis Butler Falkner. Their children were: Margaret Francis Falkner, Helen Frothingham Falkner, and Frothingham Butler Falkner.

Margaret married my grandfather, Henry Harold Reichner and they had 4 children. My father was Henry Harold Reichner, Jr.

MessageFred,

My mother-in-law grew up in New Canaan, CT, the daughter of Lawrence Potter Frothingham. She didn't know the other name, however, unless it was a tennis or country club friend. She did remember her dad clearing the land for some of the holes at the country club, and he definitely played tennis. They moved out to New Canaan in 1908.

MessageRe: inquiry for copies of "The Genealogy of Frothingham in New England." This was compiled by Thomas B. Wyman in 1850 and remained unprinted until my uncle, Thomas Goddard Frothingham, had 100 copies privately printed in 1916. A reprint may still be available from Tuttle Antiquarian Books, Inc., P. O. Box 541, Rutland, VT 05702. Other sources of Frothingham family information include Thomas B. Wyman, "Genealogies and Estates of Charlestown," 2 vols, Boston, 1879, reprinted by the New England Press, 1982, and--full of family anecdotes--Timothy T. Sawyer, "Old Charelestown," Boston: James H. West, 1902. I am a great-grandson and namesake of the historian, Richard Frothingham, 1812-1880.

MessageI tried to send a message a week ago, but it apparently did not go through because I did not understand how to find and use the verification code. Have I got a valid one this time? I am descended from Richard Frothingham, 1812-1880. You list just his son, Thomas Goddard Frothingham, on the family tree, and no further descendants. I can bring it up to date for the family tree.

MessageLooking to return something that belonged to L.P. Frothingham & H.D. Montgomery. New Cannan, CT. 1909. Time is short, give me an email proving you are a relative. If you are a relative the above information will tell you what we have.
Thanks
