MessageId just like to say well done for this.
I have just finished reading chapter 14 and i have to tell you it had me in tears smilie That poor forgotten war hero. I will never ever understand why the people like that old man can ever be forgot, if it wasnt for the hero's like this man then we would not (like you say) have the free life that we have today here in the uk.
these men deserve nothing but full respect from us all.
God Bless him and God Bless you for being the kind hearted person that you are.

MessageVery interesting site, you have some great memories. I worked for BT 1972 to 1995 when I took voluntary redundancy, my department was moved to Preston and there were no proper jobs for us so I got out. You are so right about the change of ethos, workers are barely tolerated now. Only profit matters smilie

MessageHey great site and great information. I had the pleasure of seeing Deep Purple two nights ago, 9th of Aug 2007 in Bethlehem, Pa. Fourth row. I got the first guitar pick thrown by Roger Glover. Orange medium bass pick with his signature on one side. These guys still put 100% into their shows. It was spectacular.

MessageI lived in Killyleagh from by birth in 1938 to my early 20's. During those days I went to work in Belfast each day with a Richard Hanna (I think Richard was his name - its so long ago), who lived next door to me in a house situated right in front of the the 'white school' on the Shrigley Road. If I remember right his father was Frank Hanna.
Your site brings back a lot of memories and was referred to me by Ken Stroughair, who I knew in Killyleagh the first few years of my life.

Hi, to all my old friends who may be reading,

Killen Wright
