MessageDennis

Your site is excellent and is a wonderful reference and guide to happier times. As you know my Dad Chris and your Dad Uncle John were cut off the same block. Was reading your tribute to your dad, was near in tears as I had always thought my dad was John Wayne as well. Uncovered a photo recently of the two boys in old Killyleagh Football team photo, your dad looked like he was holding court. Anyway keep up the good work keeping the Killyleagh Hanna' smilie s to the fore.

MessageGreat site Dennis,
I worked from Maltravers from 87 until 96. Seeing some of the images brought back some good memories for me.
I like you became very dis alusioned at the changes that took place and took redundancy in 98.....now run my own business and to be honest I am glad I no longer work for BT

MessageId just like to say well done for this.
I have just finished reading chapter 14 and i have to tell you it had me in tears smilie That poor forgotten war hero. I will never ever understand why the people like that old man can ever be forgot, if it wasnt for the hero's like this man then we would not (like you say) have the free life that we have today here in the uk.
these men deserve nothing but full respect from us all.
God Bless him and God Bless you for being the kind hearted person that you are.

MessageVery interesting site, you have some great memories. I worked for BT 1972 to 1995 when I took voluntary redundancy, my department was moved to Preston and there were no proper jobs for us so I got out. You are so right about the change of ethos, workers are barely tolerated now. Only profit matters smilie
