| Message | Hello Regina, My mother found your movie on iTunes one day and was watching it in bed. She enjoyed it so much that she rented it on Netflix so the entire family could watch it. I was a CJ student at Rutgers for 3 years and I was so pissed off at the way the police officers and public defender where treating you. That DA is giant butt-hole and I'm so appalled that he was re-elected and was displaying abuse of prosecutorial authority (just that alone should be enough to get him disbarred. Continue to be a strong black woman and I'm very proud of you for what you have done for the citizens of our country. God bless you and your family. You truly are a paragon and a true role model. God bless you! |

I am in awe of the fact that you managed to endure the events that took place, and even after all of that you still stood up for what you believed in. | Message | I probably never would have seen this movie if it hadn't been for my English Composition teacher at Tarrant County College. She gave us an assignment to watch the movie and write a paper about it. I am a felon who did time in TDC for drug charges. Unfortunately, I was guilty of the crime I was charged with, but I know first hand about "plea bargains". It amazes me, the strength and bravery you showed, to fight the system for what is right. I think many people who don't have money for lawyers take a plea because DAs or assistant DAs scare them so badly that they feel that they don't have any other option. I also know your strong faith in God saw you through this ordeal. I just wanted to commend you for doing what's right and sticking to it, to change the law and help others see that the truth really will set you free. |
