MessageHello Mr. Blake!

Thanks so much for your work. I have family in Ireland in Ballinamore Bridge we have an old farm that is falling down from early/mid 1800s.

Our family that runs the property has let the house go they are "old Irish" country folk very simple people. They live in Mt. Talbot and still farm my Great Great Grandfather's land so don't do much with the house. I'd love to know the history of how he my great Grandpa came to own it. He was ashepard/farmer raising a family in the 1870's. Not sure how he was able to afford the land & house. Its modest, but more than what I would have expected.

I hope you don't mind I featured you on my blog. The post"If the Walls Could Talk: Top 5 Sites for Historical Irish Houses". I am new to blogging and don't yet have a following. I just loved your site and hope you will do a series or book on the small cottages that are strewn around the country. I did see some smaller houses so thanks for that! Seems like you just have endless material there to work with. It makes me so sad to see these places falling down...again if the walls could talk! Thanks for preserving the history.

Love to recieve any feedback on my post as well. you'll find it at Irish Studies to Go

Thanks Kim

MessageFantastic work. Just looked at it for days. Australia has a pitiful spattering of decent ruins. None like these of course.
Have you seen the 2 faces in the dark doorway of Stephenstown House Co. Louth? Pg. 2 Virtual reality pic # 1. Dark doorway, 2 faces, 1 woman 1 man????. They are staring out at you!!!
Thanks Great Work

MessageHello to you

Really - truly..lovely work! So inspirational.
I wonder if it would be rude to ask for a bit of help in finding a church to purchase in Ireland. I am a painter from Canada looking for a lovely lightfilled church to work in (preferably by the sea).
I have of course looked at all the listings on myhome.ie but haven't found 'the one'. It doesn't need to be all done up, though it would be best not to have to do major repairs.

Perhaps this is very bold to ask you.. a fellow artist... but since you have roamed the whole country I thought I might chance it!

I am partial to the sea.. Cork West and Kerry - but ready for anything!

Many thanks for your time
danielle
