Are you one of the Galway Blakes>?
If so we are distant Lynch cousins.

MessageExcellent collection! These things are always worth doing. They are photos of the past, of history, of those who came before us. I bitterly regret not taking a photo of the National school my father had attended many years before. When I saw it,it was a ruin but at least it was still standing. Soon after, it was too late.

MessageA superb website! By "resureecting the past", in some ways it is along the lines of what I am doing myself.
See www.irish-paris.org

The books (which I've just acquired) are also spot on. Very well done!

I recognised a couple of places from my home county of Meath, but even there I was flumoxed by a couple of locations. Would it be possible to insert map pinpointing location of each place you mention?

Best regards from Paris,
Isadore Ryan

MessageJust researching a little about my family home - The Glebe House in Dunkitt where I noticed that Gaulskill Church was the local church but is now an abandoned ruin somewhere around the Dunkitt area. I have seen pictures online. I wonder what happened to it...

MessageHi there,
I really like the photography and exploration you do.
I'd love to see some more Northern Irish finds, or if you can recommend any abandoned buildings in the North as I want to build on my photography portfolio. I am living in Co. Down and I would like to explore some of these buildings before I make my way down South.
Thanks,
Jason

MessageI seriously love looking at your work! It is my dream to move to Ireland. I hopefully will be going out there within the year to study with my university. I plan to undertake a resurrection of an old abandoned property. It just amazes me people just abandon such amazing places. I wish i was exploring right along with you! Such an adventure!

MessageAbsolutely fantastic photographs! They are so atmospheric, telling and haunting. Your work is very relevant and necessary and the caption histories extremely well written and informative. As a painter, I especially appreciate your eye for composition, atmosphere and texture. As an Irish diaspora I find your work emotive and nastalgic. Thank you
