MessageDear Mr. Blake,

Thank you for documenting these places before they are lost to us all. My family and I have been searching for a couple of sites important to us. I believe they are in ruins. The abbeys they once supported surely are dashed to bits.

One is Aghamilly Castle, Pobble O'Hea Co. Cork. Another is the former castle and great house of the MacMenamins in Strabane, Co. Tyrone. Further, the site of the fortress of Brian na Murtha O'Rourke. Finally, the castle that once was the stronghold of Cahir O'Dochertaigh in Inishowen, Co.Donegal.

Would you share any photos of these, or at least the GPS coordinates of these places?

Planning to buy one of your books for my boy for his birthday. He loves to look at the ruins of Timoleague Abbey and imagine how it was when my family interred their lost heroes there.

MessageI absolutely loved your books. It's such a shame that we do not look after out history. If your books and photographs help to inspire us to start looking after, restoring and taking care of our wonderful buildings, everything you have done will be worth it.
Thanks for these spectacular books.

MessageI really enjoyed going through the contents of your site and was intrigued with the pictures and narrative which accompanied them.
Learned a lot about the architectural heritage of our country and the occupants of these stately mansions who resided therein.
Marvelous piece of work.
Thank You.

MessageHi Tarquin,

Your photographs are really incredible and I loved looking at the site. I would love it though if you'd change the font... I found after reading a page my eyes hurt and I ended up copying and pasting into notepad to continue!
I also feel the space-age, robocop feel of it really doesn't do the images justice! I hope you are not offended - I just thought I'd offer some constructive criticism!

Fantastic pictures and great info!

T.B > Thanks Tessa but I'm not getting the time to do much with this website these days. Since 2010 nearly all my work has gone into my books, they are all best-sellers and all available on amazon and the normal online retailers as well as book shops here in Ireland.

MessageCame across a mention of your site on Pinterest and decided to investigate. I have spent the entire afternoon,(now well into evening) wildly wandering the ruins of those ancient and beautiful places. I am of Irish descent and those roots pull strongly. Never spent a more fascinating interlude. I am sharing your site on my Facebook page and will be back many times to visit. It is a fond wish of mine to visit Ireland, and abandoned places anywhere have always intrigued me. Your site is absolutely mesmerizing! Love it!

I'm making a short film and I would love if part of it could be set in the magazine fort in the Pheonix park and I would love if you would share how to we're able to gain access to it.
