MessageThinking of you all and hoping that Owen accepts his new friend, the bipap. I am sure that once he is used to it, he will wake up with big smiles and feel refreshed. I know what a tough decision this was. There are many of us thinking of you all and praying for you.

MessageI came across your blog by way of another, and just wanted to say how beautiful your family is. The love that you express for your family and your precious little boy is heartwarming and encouraging. My husband and I have a little guy who just turned a year old, and I can empathize with most everything you say on your blog even though our child does not have special needs...the love you feel for your children is the most intense love there is. I will continue to read your blog, and pray for your sweet little one and your family as you tread the unfamiliar territory of life together. You are a light to so many.

Messagesmilie I just got updated on all the information in your blog. We are just leaving this message to let you know that we are so proud of your entire family through some of the difficult days you have had. Through you diligent efforts you have a made a lot more people aware of SMA. Keep up all the amazing work you do. Call us if you ever need anything. I talked Andy last night and told him he could call if he didn't need anything.

MessageTommy, Thomas, and I were delighted to finally meet Owen. We were having a semi-rough day with Thomas, who was just very uncomfortable from his surgery. They had stopped giving him pain medication, so needless to say he was cranky. However, seeing Owen’s smile made our day. He is a little angel. We are glad that he is able to eat pudding and yogurt by mouth and no one has to hide to eat their ice cream any more. We look forward to our growing friendship. smilie All our love, The Jupins

MessageYou all continue to amaze me. Owen looks just peachy in his stander--isn't crazy how the simple act of being upright can give your child a whole new perspective on things? Good luck with the nursing recruits. I remember the days of finding nurses whose personalities worked with our family; who were wonderful with our daughter; and who were good at their job. It is amazing how difficult it can be to find all those qualities in one person. Don't be afraid to be picky. Our children are our most precious possessions. Always here if you need anything...

MessageI know of you all from SMA space. Just wanted to check out your blog and saw your fundraiser. So glad it was a success. I might try to pick your brain about how you all got this done, because we're trying to plan ours for the fall. Sounds like things are going well! Glad to hear it. Take care!

MessageThursday was an amazing event. I'm glad we were a part of it. You both have great strength. I was hoping to read about the event in the papers- did I miss it? I have NEVER seen so many people pull together for an amazing family. It only proves that good things come to good people. My prayers are with you and I have added this website to my favorites so I can keep up with Owen's progress. Good luck deciding on a van. I truly believe the mommies should get the final decision, after all- we do go through the labor and delivery! Kidding. Black is always good?? Be well and I hope owen's (feeding tube?) is working out ok. smilie
Amy
