Your legacy is your quilts and will live on in my quilts. I have worn out your book while quilting on my own quilts and while showing it at our quilt shows. At our little quilt show (Rooster Crow, in Rogue River, OR), my dad and I demonstrate machine quilting on our home machines. We point out that we learned from Kathy at our Piecemakers of Rogue Valley meeting and at the Roseburg, OR quilt show where she demonstrated. Thank you for making our passion easier to achieve.
Love,
Liz Letz- Cammerer, Medford, OR

MessageOur prayers are with all of you. Such a time when life should be enjoyed and yet you have to sell the most prescious quilts to continue care. Those quilts should be for Kathy's family and dearest friends. I pray and hope that her house will sell so maybe that can prolong selling her quilts.
My heart is with you all.

MessageI took a class from Kathy at the MN Quilt Show when her book "Show Me How to Machine Quilt" came out. What a fun class! After she showed us her quilts (many of which are in the book)and described what she had done, she let us show our quilts. One by one. As a group we talked about ideas and how to quilt each of the quilts....I felt like I was finally given permission to "color outside the lines" when quilting. I have referred to that book and thought about her many times over the last few years. When I read about her illness on the World Wide Quilt Page I wanted to say "Thank you" to a great teacher and let her know she made a difference to me.

MessageKathy has opened up the world of free-motion quilting to me. It wasn't until reading "Show Me How to Machine Quilt" that I let go and started creative quilting... it changed my life and my pocketbook. Love and good wishes with hope for comfort and peace to Kathy and her children during these hard times.
