MessageShe came as a stray with porcupine quills in her face. We treated her and she was forever endebted to us. She is the most smart, loving and eager to please dog we have ever known. It breaks our hearts that she has a poor prognosis and soon will have to be put to sleep. This is a fast growing tumor...we were not even aware of it 3 weeks ago and now it is very large and bleeding. We may have a week with her. Although as a pet owner we know it is not if, but when our pets leave us, it is no easier to accept when the time arrives. Our grief is profound.

MessageOur Simba is 8 and we opted not to do chemo on him due to the fact that we do not want to put him through that at his age. We have enjoyed him for a month after his operation to try and remove it, but we are now seeing he is feeling the pain from the cancer. Please pray we know when it's time and that he leaves us peacefully. We will miss him.

MessageMilo is only 6 years old. When we took him to the vet this week, we expected to find out that he had swallowed a toy or something. Instead we found out that his kidneys aren't working due to
hypercalcemia and his non-exisitant white blood cell count is indicative of cancer. So now we wait, and wait, and wait, for the tests to come back. The vet is leaning towards cancer of the parathyroid gland but is uncertain. Milo is a remarkable dog who has spent his life working with children. He loves people and has an uncanny ability to touch their souls and make them smile.
