MessageUPDATE: Last night at 630 we finally had to let our baby go. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I realize that he is no longer in any pain, but for some reason I found myself apologizing and saying that I was sorry for what I was doing to him. I love him and will forever miss him. He was my protector and he will always hold a special place in my heart. I love you and miss you Tucker.

MessageFor 10 1/2 years, he has been our heart & sole. He has kept my mom and I ALIVE & grounded especially the last two years while we struggled to find a bone marrow donor for my brother who was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. Among Dash's credits, he is most proud of his work as a certified therapy dog. He went a giant step farther and became our "poster boy" in the campaign to add donors to the National Bone Marrow Program. My brother (Dr. Ken Piest of San Antonio, TX) recently lost his battle with cancer and died. No donor was ever found for him in time. Dash represents "Great White Hope" for all of us. My dad died when we were in TX and yes, Dash helped us deal with that tragedy. I could not have gotten through anything, if it was not for him. He has saved my will to live repeatedly. We got through it together one day at a time. AND NOW MY DOG HAS CANCER! He is our "Pyr Angel" and he was sent here to take care of us. He goes in for surgery 7/22 - so please, please prays for him. He is in otherwise great health. Weight is 93 pounds with clear lungs from the x-rays and ultra-sound, blood tests all good. Tumor is about the size of a gumball and that was discovered during a routine exam. Dash is a very happy boy, but he is on the sensitive side. That is what makes him standout and spec
