it has been confirmed, my poor dog has bone cancer. there is a large tumor in his left leg and the tumor has been eating away at his bone. now come the decisions.... amputate and do chemo or put him down. please pray that i make the right one. i love my spazzy dearly, but do i want to put him through all that for the greed of my wanting him around? i really need the lord right now, finances are a huge issue. is it murder if i put him to sleep to end this suffering? i know in a human it is. with amputation alone they give him 6 months and said that once the leg is removed he will be better but with this type of cancer it will more than likely come back..somewhere else. they suggest chemo but only give him 1-2 years. please pray

MessageMy dog Colby (Puppers to his closest family members) was diagnosed with bone cancer in his nasal passage last April 6. I will never forget that horrible day when the vet came to me and said,I'm sorry, your dog has cancer and only has a few months to live". I was devastated. I thought, What now? And just the week before we had been enjoying a wonderful holiday in the San Juan Islands with our two dogs. And now my beautiful, loving, loyal boy was fighting for his life. I knew I would do whatever it took, no matter the cost to save him. So we made an appointment with an oncologist who gave us more bad news. No surgery would save him because of the location of the tumor (an mri showed it was in the nasal passage with not enough clean margins to get it all. And chemo would not help either. Even radiation would only buy him 6 mos and that was being optimistic. After learning of the side effects, I could not bear to put him through more pain and suffering. I put him on an all organic diet and lots of prayer and positive thinking. I thought miracles do happen. I know they do because my Puppers is still alive 8 months after his diagnoses. He does have good days and bad days but his will to live is so strong. He eats everything I cook for him no matter what it is, every green vegetable, every holistic herb, every acupuncture. I hate to cook but I do it out of love, trying in small way to give him what he gives me which is everything. Please pray for him. God will hear.

Type of CancerLymphoma
MessageWe adopted beautiful little Erin five years ago from the MI Weim rescue when she was three. Tomorrow she begins chemotherapy for Lymphoma. We received this horrible news late last week and could not believe it. The symptoms were very sudden, she begin coughing, was congested having difficulty breathing, and had what appeared to be an eye infection. After multiple doctor appointments it was confirmed our girl was sick with cancer. She has been my rock for five years, helping me through so much including the sudden loss of my father. I'm not ready to let her go. Please say a prayer for Erin.

BreedGolden Retriever

Type of Cancerostesarcoma
MessageJinx came to me last year at the age of 6.5 when her owner was no longer able to care for her. She has completed my household by keeping me and my 4 year old golden company. We are all best of friends. Jinx started limping sporadically a few months ago. Had the Xrays done yesterday and there it was. The dreaded lump between her shoulder and elbow.
We wait to speak to the oncologist tomorrow. Amputation is not something I can consider- and not sure of chemo/rad at this point. She had a mast cell tumour removed in August so this is her second bout with the horrific cancer. She's happy, otherwise extremely healthy and as active as a pup. She's had no pain at all this week. Traumeel seems to help. I may just let her live her live as long as the quality remains good. I have to trust she will let me know when she's had enough and I pray that I have the strength to put my selfishness aside and listen to her. Keep Jinxie in your prayers please.

MessageDakota is my sons dog. They have had her for 9 years and was their baby...until 2 childrem came along. She is such a kind, gentle dog and is loved very much. She also has Cushings disease and now they (actually I ) found a lump in her neck. They had it tested and its chances are moderate to high that it is cancer. They do not know how far along she is as she acts the same and is active. Seeing she does have Cushings disease. their vet doesn't think chemo should be an option.

MessageCharlie was just diagnosed with a large tumor surrounding his kidneys. He's only 2 years old, so we're having a hard time realizing this news. His back legs are not receiving enough blood to support him, so he drags them as he walks.
Charlie is on his way to a holistic vet for a consultation. Pray for relief of the pain and an increase to the blood to his legs. Pray for healing - The vet said there is a slim chance that this is not a tumor - Slim chances are glimmers of hope.
