Type of CancerLymphoma
MessageSeger was two. I came home from work one day and my dogs greeted me as normal. I felt this lump on his neck. I just knew. I called our vet. They are wonderful people, we had to wait an hour. I immediatly got on the computer. Lymphoma. That's what he was diagnosed with. It was three weeks before Christmas. He was given a choice of prednisone and 9 weeks, or, fight. We chose to fight. He had the worst type but he had youth on his side. Seger did the Madison WI. Protocol, through our vet and Missouri U. He had a few rough times but not as bad as I thought. My husband and I promised each other that we would not let him sufer. He hasn't. He is in his tenth month of remission. Fat and sassy. We know that there will come a day, but, we are still fighting.

Type of CancerLymphoma
MessageWally just turned 6 1/2 years old on Friday, 4/8/2011. Unfortunately, on that day, we received the saddening news that he has Lymphoma.

I was playing with my little buddy on Wednesday, 4/6, when I felt a golf-ball-sized bump on his neck. My wife and I took him in the next day, and the news that it was Lymphoma came back to us on Friday. We started him on a year-long chemo program that day and are really praying that we can beat this together. Aside from the diagnosis, Wally is playful and fun-loving as ever, and his innocent little heart is living life to its funnest as usual!

Thank you all for your prayers, and for this website. Wally means everything to us as he is the most pure-hearted soul we know. He is a true inspiration to us. We are eternally grateful for your good wishes and we send our prayers out to all animals in need and their stewards.

Type of Cancermammary and mass
MessageLast night I went to lay down for the night with lady as I have for 15 years. She moved very slow where last week she was running and playing like a puppy like everynight. As I drew down to pull her to me my hand came across her tummy. To my SHOCK she is full of huge tumors across her gut and a mass in the middle. This was not there last week that I felt when she wanted her tummy rubbed. I have had dogs my whole life and never have I seen any cancer spread like this. There is so much so huge that the docter would have to gut her to get to it. This is CRAZY. Now she is just laying in my arms for comfort. Her mama had only one tumor and even after she had surgery, she still died a painful death. When I prayed for when ladys time came that it would be fast I never knew how much I was heard. I know in my heart its time or this would never be going on but,, Im not ready. I have had 15 wonderful years with her she has been the best friend threw thick and thin, tears im going to miss her so MUCH. Folks please pray for her comfort in this as it is going to be painful for us all and I do pray she goes with her mama to once more play on the warm sunny days and run like the wind with her by her side and they hug each other once more and forever.

BreedShetland Sheepdog
StateMassachusetts
Type of CancerBladder (TCC) & Secondary lungs
MessageCami was just diagnosed with an inoperable tumor in her bladder (TCC) this past Thursday. We later learned that night that she also has masses on her lungs. The diagnosis has been a shock as we simply thought she had a urinary tract infection or worst case, a kidney stone.

We adopted Cami from a rescue center 8 years ago. She is just nine years old and although she has been a challenge at times due to abuse by prior owner, she has become the most lovable friendly loyal and trusting companion. She loves constant petting and especially belly rubs. She has the cutest means of getting our attention but using her nose to "poke" us.

We love her and she is such a part of our family. I pray for a miracle to give us more time with her but more so that this precious angel doesn't feel pain or suffer.

BreedBorder Collie

Type of CancerMeningioma-brain
MessageAnnie began having seizures 6 weeks ago and last week the vet confirmed a tumor. Please pray for clear guidance as to which path is best for Annie and if the path is surgery, please pray that she survives the surgery and recovery. Annie is 13 years old and has rallied every time God has presented her with a challenge. Please let her be strong and healthy enough to rally against this latest challenge. Without surgery she's been given ~ 4weeks. With surgery she'll get another year. I want to do what's best for her- she'll do whatever is asked of her to the best of her ability but I don't want to ask too much of her. I wish I had her strength of spirit
