Type of CancerHemangiosarcoma of Liver/Spleen
MessageThis is about our precious little girl, Cody. On 3-22-11, a routine blood test indicated an abnormality. Vet ordered an ultrasound, which was done 3-30-11. Results showed liver/spleen cancer. Aspirate done 4-8-11, indicated hemangiosarcoma. Cancer may take her body, but her life story is far more interesting, far more endearing. We adopted Cody from a rescue group who told us she'd come from horrific conditions. Who could resist those soulful eyes. It was as if she was begging for someone -- anyone -- to care about her. She was so frightened of men that for nearly a month, she wouldn't go anywhere near my husband. But, with patience and his Pied Piper aura, he won her over. They've been constant companions since. She's definitely daddy's little girl. She's been a welcoming "mama" to our ever-growing rescue family, and God willing, she'll remain with us for as long as she's comfortable and without pain. She's the love of our lives and has forever left her paw prints on our hearts. When it's her time, she will join her sisters who await her arrival at the Rainbow Bridge. My only consolation, and what gets me through the days and nights, is that I will see her and all our other lost furbabies -- someday. If God answers my prayer, I'll be given the privilege of walking everyone across the Bridge, to whatever awaits us all. We ask for your prayers for our Cody girl, so that she has no pain, and so that God lets us know when it's time to let her gently cross over. Thank you.

MessageThe love of my life and soul mate, Teddy, was diagnosed in January when the sarcoma tumor on his spleen ruptured. It's now a waiting game to see where the cancer will return, most likely his lungs or liver. Teddy is epileptic and not a day passes that I don't thank the lord this little dog is in my life. He turns the world on with his kisses, smiles, and little grunts. Say a prayer for Mommy's little man. Thank you!

Type of CancerAbdominal Tumor
MessagePlease pray for Flash who is a 10 yr old Llasa Apso and his Vet discovered a large tumor in the abdomen this past Wednesday. He is scheduled for surgery Monday morning. I rescued him 8 yrs ago and he has been my best friend ever since. He has taught me what unconditional love his. I have no children but Flash took the role as my baby and the unconditional love we have for each other is like no other. The surgery is risky, but I feel deep in my heart that it is my obligation as his mother to do what I need to do to remove the tumor and ease the discomfort he is having. I have faith in the Lord that surgery is the right answer for him. I want to thank Flash for always being by my side no matter what obstacles came our way, and I want him to know that I will be by his side like he has always been by my side. I thank the Lord for connecting me with Flash and for the bond we have developed. I love you Flashy. You are a strong dog, a fighter and most of all my gift from God who I love ever so deeply.

Thank you

BreedGolden Retriever mix

Type of CancerLymph node
MessageRoxy is 14 years old and was diagnosed with cancer 2 months ago. After trying Prednisone with very bad side effects, I decided to allow her to live out the last months of her life without drugs. She has slowed down quite a bit, and the lymph nodes are getting larger, but she still has a good appetite, likes to go for short walks, barks at birds flying over our yard and does not appear to be in any pain. I'm feeding her organic canned food, cooked chicken (her favorite) whenever she wants it, and letting her chew on fresh marrow bones. Please send your positive thoughts and your love her way. Roxy and I thank you and wish you well.
