| Message | This is about our precious little girl, Cody. On 3-22-11, a routine blood test indicated an abnormality. Vet ordered an ultrasound, which was done 3-30-11. Results showed liver/spleen cancer. Aspirate done 4-8-11, indicated hemangiosarcoma. Cancer may take her body, but her life story is far more interesting, far more endearing. We adopted Cody from a rescue group who told us she'd come from horrific conditions. Who could resist those soulful eyes. It was as if she was begging for someone -- anyone -- to care about her. She was so frightened of men that for nearly a month, she wouldn't go anywhere near my husband. But, with patience and his Pied Piper aura, he won her over. They've been constant companions since. She's definitely daddy's little girl. She's been a welcoming "mama" to our ever-growing rescue family, and God willing, she'll remain with us for as long as she's comfortable and without pain. She's the love of our lives and has forever left her paw prints on our hearts. When it's her time, she will join her sisters who await her arrival at the Rainbow Bridge. My only consolation, and what gets me through the days and nights, is that I will see her and all our other lost furbabies -- someday. If God answers my prayer, I'll be given the privilege of walking everyone across the Bridge, to whatever awaits us all. We ask for your prayers for our Cody girl, so that she has no pain, and so that God lets us know when it's time to let her gently cross over. Thank you. |
