MessageOhhhhhh MAN!!!! So glad I found this site! I have been a SAHB fan since I first saw them one night on Don Kirshners Rock Concert tv show in the early 70's. They were truly sensational! Up till that time there was nobody even close to them. And I will always count them as one band I count at the top of my lifelong list of favorite bands. RIP Alex. You will be here with me until I'm there with you! Sensational!!!!

MessageI AM A BELGIAN FAN OF ALEX HARVEY BAND AND I RETRIEVE WITH HAPPINESS THE RECORDING OF MY FAVOURITE SINGER. THE MUSIC OF ALEX IS UNCLASSIFIED IT IS A MIX OF HEAVY HARD GLAM ROCK AND WHAT I LIKE THE MOST IS THE HUMOUR OF ALEX ZAL AND CHRIS ON STAGE. MY PREFERRED FOR THE HEAVY BASS SOUND IS MIDNIGHT MOSES; FOR THE HUMOUR AND FOOLNESS I LIKE FRAMED ON STAGE WITH ALEX AND HIS BEER'S SHAMPOO. FOR THE ORIGINALITY IT IS VAMBO RULES BUT THE BEST OF ALL IS THE TALE OF THE GIANT STONE-EATER IT IS AN ANTHOLOGY SONG. 1982 IS THE SADDEST YEAR OF MY MUSICAL LIFE. THANKS ALEX FOR YOUR LIFE MASTERPIECE. smilie

MessageI remember writing Vambo Rool in 5 foot high white letters on an outside wall of Bredbury Steel Works, Stockport so that the Manchester/Sheffield trains could see it as they went past, it must have been around 1974-75.Probably no-one knew what it meant but I did and that was enough for me. I wish Zal a happy retirement and hope the rest of the band great success in the future. Cheers, smilie Steve King
