MessageYou're welcome on the video. It was originally made as a tech tip assignment for my hardware class, but I'm happy you linked it to your site. BlueTunes is a pretty great app too I might add, good luck on your project. smilie

MessageI tried on many of my systems and BlueTunes works on all of them with the latest Foobar2000. I think I know the problem. Make sure you have the toolbar displayed that contains the Stop/Play/Pause/Prev/Next buttons. If you have customized your layout and that toolbar is not displayed, BlueTunes will not be able to control playback. Right click on the area that contains the toolbars and it is called 'buttons'. Make sure a check mark is next to it. Note - after adding this toolbar, you need to close Foobar and re-open by clicking on the Foobar selection in BlueTunes. hope this works for you, Mike Anderson... smilie

MessageMike,

Thanks a lot for the message - I am happy/impressed you took the time to contact me and let me know about the update smilie.

However, I downloaded the update, installed it over my current bluetunes installation, and still experience the same problem (only the volume arrows work and no other buttons). If there is something else I must do to successfully install the update, please tell me.

If not, any ideas? I also attempted to run the exe as Administrator per your suggestion at the bottom of the download page, but this did not seem to help. I'm welcome to suggestions smilie.

Thanks a lot for your help so far and any help that you might be able to give in the future,

--Tony

MessageWhen an update is available, BlueTunes will let you know. Or, like you mentioned, periodically check the website.

Thanks for the kudos smilie

MessageThanks a lot for taking the issue into consideration, Mike. I tried installing foobar2000 9.4.4, and when I do bluetunes seems to work fine just like you said....but unfortunately none of my plug ins work with that version of foobar :-P.

So, I was thinking the best solution is just to wait for the fix to come out...but I'm not really sure of the best way to do that. Should I just keep an eye out for the updated version on the main bluetunes webpage?

Thanks for your time and energy concerning the issue other foobar users and I are having. Really great program though, I love little touches like how the blue leds at the bottom of the wii act as volume indicators smilie.

Thanks again,

--Tony

MessageI'll look into the Foobar2000 issue shortly. I have version .9.4.4 so maybe there is a difference in the newer version.

MessageThis is a really great program with a lot of unbelievably useful functionality - and works quite good with winamp. You certainly get compliments from me smilie.

However, I am having a problem when using it with foobar2000, which is my main media player. The up and down arrows work to control the volume, and clicking on foobar launches the program, even using the nunchuck for mouse control works great...however, none of the other buttons work. I cannot pause,play....change tracks....seek....none of these buttons work on foobar2000 version for some reason!

My foobar2000 version is: v0.9.5

My bluetunes version is: v2.3 XP x32

I am using Windows XP SP 2.

This problem is easily reproducible, I have tried dozens of times but on my system it won't control foobar. Any help would be greatly appreciated...please feel free to contact me directly for more information or suggestions using the E-Mail I left here.

Thanks so much for writing this great free program,

--Tony

MessageJ Hall,

Greetings - nice to know you heard this from others - figures that it crashed for you.

The only time I have noticed this happening is when the system does not have the .NET framework 2.0 installed. Go to the Installation help page on the web site and download and install. It is located under the Install heading on the bottom of the main page.

If that does not work - let me know what operating system you are using.

An incorrect bluetooth stack has never crashed BlueTunes - just does not communicate with the wiimote correctly.

hope the .NET framework is the problem...
smilie
