MessageIn response to John and the Vista issues - I did a search on the web and it looks like it has to do with user rights. Make sure you are logged on as administrator - and if you already are - make sure the user rights aren't screwed up.

MessageSure - BlueTunes can control the computer mouse pointer - you will be able to control it that way initially.

I will look into something a little more advanced shortly - such as pressing buttons on the Wiimote to perform specific functions.

MessageWill this work with VeohTV? I plan on building a Windows Media Center-based Home Theater PC. I intend on installing various streaming internet video services like Joost, VeohTV, TVUPlayer, etc. VeohTV is located at veoh.com

MessageHi Mike,

Great work on this brilliant application you designed. I was running WinXP x86 and it worked like a charm. I recently upgraded to Vista x64 and downloaded the appropriate vesion from your site and installed x64 .Net 2.0 and I get this error when trying to start up Bluetunes. Also, it installs the program into the x86 directory, is that right? Any help would be apprecitaed. Thx in advance, John

MessageThat's definitely an odd situation.
Exactly which media players have you tried that don't work? If I recall, Foobar2000 did not work for you previously.

The only thing I can think of is that BlueTunes can't find the Windows Handle to the media player you are trying to control.

Regarding the media players that don't work - does BlueTunes automatically load the media player for you?

Do any of the previous versions of BlueTunes work?
What version of Windows are you using?

Do me a favor - whatever players don't work for you - give me the name indicated in the Title bar of the media players (the topmost blue portion of the application window). For instance, for BlueTunes it cycles between the word 'BlueTunes' and the battery level. Also, give me the version of the media player.

MessageUse the version for Vista and XP x64 - the main volume is disabled (for other reasons). That version controls the iTunes volume instead - exactly what you need. Don't worry, it will work with all versions of XP or Vista.

Good suggestion though - might add that feature to the next version of BlueTunes.

MessageAwesome program! One suggestion. Instead of controlling the computer volume, add an option to control the application volume (I use iTunes). The reason is that I have multiple speakers connected and when controlling the volume it only affects the speakers connected to the computer (not the remote speakers). Once again, great job!
